- Bulldog Canyon - The adventure begins with a brief drive to the off-road entry point. The journey starts at Bulldog Canyon, accessed via Ellsworth onto forest road 3554. This sandy road resembles a track from a BMX video game, offering a smooth and ideal terrain for off-roading. The sandy area provides an enjoyable experience for everyone! This segment of the tour will last about 30 minutes.
- Bulldog Canyon - The tour continues across the desert to the base of a mountain. The drive proceeds through a large wash running parallel to the mountain, with a small opening for passage. A short hike to a high vantage point offers stunning views. This spot is known for sightings of wild pigs and bighorn sheep. Guests can capture photos and explore the fascinating plants, flowers, and breathtaking scenery.
- Bulldog Canyon - Next, the tour turns onto forest road 10, a blend of sand and small rocks. This scenic path offers exciting off-roading experiences, including navigating steep hills and boulders. The route is adorned with giant cacti, wildflowers, and unique fauna, with opportunities to spot wildlife. This part of the tour will take approximately 60 minutes.
- Bulldog Canyon - The journey concludes with a drive to the top of a mountain overlooking the city. Passengers will enjoy a short hike to witness the stunning views of the Superstition Mountains, Four Peaks, and the surrounding cities. Guests can take photos and explore the area.
- Bulldog Canyon - Wolverine Gate - After enjoying the city views, there is a roughly 10-minute drive on paved roads back to the starting point and your vehicle. The entire trip lasts 2-3 hours, depending on road conditions and passenger preferences.

The trip starts with meeting at a large residential property in NE Mesa. (Crossroads Brown/Ellsworth) Andrew, one of our tour guides lives in the home, and it has a large safe area to park in. Pull into the circle drive and you will see our tour guides waiting and off-road vehicles lined up.

Bulldog Canyon - Andy is as our driver, and he was a skilled driver and also very knowledgeable about the area! The scenery was incredible, and Andy had some really fun stories to tell!!

Good sunny day in the desert - Very Fun!!! Wonderful views. Dave the driver made the experience informative about the land ,and funny. He really knows how to drive the 4 wheeler safely.

Great excursion with a... - Great excursion with a great guide. Dave was an expert at navigating this off road experience. Highly recommended if you’re interested in seeing the back road terrain of the canyon. Get’s pretty bumpy but worth it to see the beautiful landscape.

Exciting, memorable, breathtaking views - This was a breathtaking adventure. So happy I decided to go. I went solo, but no worries the tour guide David was fantastic. Love that this is family owned. It felt personable and welcoming. I will be booking my next adventure for Feb 2026. Thank you David and family for a great and memorable off road tour of Bulldog Canyon.

We booked a last minute... - We booked a last minute tour with Andy and it did not disappoint! Highly recommend if you are looking to be immersed in the mountains learning about the rocks, plants, animals and the history of the area. The bonus was the incredible photo ops along the way. He also gave us recommendations after our trip on where to drive, eat, and see more of the beautiful mountains of the Tonto National Forest. A good time was had by all. 5-stars
