Amazing day in Messina - We had a wonderful time on our street food tour. Roberto was an amazing guide who was knowledgeable and humorous! We tried a traditional breakfast, breads with toppings, lunch, and ended the tour with cannolis (which you can never go wrong with!) In addition to learning about the foods and customs, we learned so much about the city and got to see beautiful churches. We are so glad we did this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone in Messina— especially if Roberto is your guide!

Awesome street food experience - The street food experience with Roberto was fantastic. We not only got the delicious food but also commentary on the sights. From granitas and brioche to Vanessa's arroncinos and foccacia were delicious. And cannoli to finish. Roberto was very informative and it shows that he loves his city and food. Highly recommend this tour experience. For cruise people, excellent choice and theg start from the port.

Seeing Messina highlights with street foods. - Our tour guide was Roberto. He gave us an excellent tour starting with a breakfast of granita and brioche. Then it was a sampling of Sicilian specialties like honey, olive oil and other. In between Roberto showed us some important monuments of Messina, like the duomo and the astronomical clock. The tour ended with a lunch of Arriancino and a beverage.

Tasty treats, great tour - would recommend - We enjoyed our tour guide Roberto. He picked us up outside of the port, right near the ship. Communication prior was excellent, I felt totally prepared on where to go and how to find them. They operate through Discover Messina Sicily. The port is very close to the shopping/restaurants in Messina. We started our tour by viewing the noon bell tower show and exploring the chruch there. There were 3 places we stopped for food. At the first se each got to select one option from Aranchino, fried calzone, regular calzone or foccocia and also were able to select a beverage from beer, soda, iced tea and a funky lemon salty drink. There were 4 of us (2 adults, 16yr old and 12 yr old) We asked Robert for the top 4 food options that show cased the food options and everything we tried was delicious. The owner of the first bakery was so sweet and engaging. We walked around the downtown area of Messina and Roberto gave us background history, we stopped by the oldest church in Messina, and then the Gallery. He brought us to a few other notable locations for the city. The second stop was for a canole, which was DELICIOUS. We got to choose from regular, pistacio or chocolate and if that wasn't your vibe you could try gelato instead. Then we circled back to this same locaiton for the 3rd food stop to try their traditional Granita. There were several flavors like lemon, strawberry, pistachio, almond but I picked coffee with whipped cream as that was their recommended traditional option. We ejoyed the port of Messina, very pretty, quaint and we found the locals to be very friendly. I'd definitely recommend this tour to clients.

Must try in Messina! - What a great way to see Messina and taste some local eats! My wife and I went on this tour when our cruise stopped in Messina. They were so kind meeting us at the port and then taking us through town. In addition to trying some amazing food we also got to see some of the local architecture including the towns famous astronomical clock which we got see perform its show at noon. It was a wonderful tour and we want to thank our tour guide Roberto for being so kind and giving us a wonderful tour of the city and sharing his love for food with us!
