Peace & comfort at Milford Sound - This cruise took us completely away from the crowds at Milford Sound during Peak Season. It is like flying business class. Every detail is thought of.
We were only around 20 passengers on the boat. The food was delicious and we were free to walk around and be on the upper deck between the courses. The service was very nice, too. The interior design of the boat was understated and classy. We absolutely loved it.

Worth the upgrade - The entire experience was fantastic. Check in was easy, the staff was so friendly and helpful, and it was definitely worth it to pay extra to have the smaller vessel and less people. We loved it!

Best luxury lunch cruise ever!! - The cruise was fantastic and highly recommend it. We were greeted with champagne and our 2 kids were given some lovely juice and we felt welcomed and not rushed. The lunch was amazing with wine pairing as an option and they had a kids menu. We got stunning views and great along with great commentary.

Outstanding Tour with Dan McKnight - Our driver and tour guide, Dan McKnight, was absolutely outstanding on our trip to and from Milford Sound. His knowledge of the landscape, geography, and history of Queenstown and the entire route was exceptional. Dan kept the journey engaging from start to finish, pointing out significant waterfalls, mountains, and landmarks along the way.
He struck the perfect balance between being informative and entertaining, and his passion for the area really came through. The drive itself was as memorable as the destination thanks to Dan — a true professional and an excellent ambassador for this beautiful part of New Zealand.

Book the premium trip! - Absolutely amazing experience! Can't recommend the premium experience enough! Well worth the higher price for the extras! Thanks to the fabulous Sarah in the booking office, the brilliant Brad for our highly-informative small coach transfer, and the lovely Grace on board MV Sinbad for making my wife's birthday extra-special. Book the premium trip!

Perfect way to see the... - Perfect way to see the Milford Sound. The crew were awesome and a glass of champagne on arrival was a very special touch. We were also very lucky that the captain and crew spotted a large pod of Bottle Nosed Dolphins that entertained us for some time.
The food was excellent and it was clear that the crew were very skilled in the area as the commentary was excellent.
We would highly recommend this tour!!!

Amazing cruise but food was disappointing - We had a great experience on this cruise. The boat was beautiful, the crew were really knowledgeable, professional and friendly and the cruise itself was outstanding. We loved the informative commentary and the way the boat was able to get up close to the phenomenal waterfalls. We went in rain (which happened to clear halfway through) so the waterfalls were so beautiful- and everywhere! Don’t cancel if it’s rainy!
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the food. The canapés were quite nice (but the mutton bird pate was unexpected and very gamey), but the mains were really disappointing. We had smoked eel in beetroot(not awful, but not great) and venison tartare. It was terrible. I tried it, but could not eat it. I mentioned this and the waiter tried to help by bringing me beetroot tartare (which was a small bowl of beetroot chopped up). Both were served with cold crisps. It would have been so much nicer to be provided with a nicely cooked, hot lunch. NZ lamb would have been outstanding. We left hungry after the 5 course tasting menu. The matching wines were short pours with no top ups permitted, but a nice choice of local wines.
Overall, it was a lovely experience, without considering the dining, which was disappointing.

On my experience I would recommend Real NZ - We went to both Milford Sound and Doubtful sound. Unfortunately the weather was horrendous on both occasions and I still couldn’t tell you what either place looks like. However we found Real NZ to be a very organised company with excellent communication. Every Real NZ member of staff that we came in to contact with on our trips, looked happy in their job and were friendly and helpful. Ferg and Branden who drove us to these events were both friendly, knowledgeable, interesting and informative. Such a shame about the weather!

The boat was nice but trip cancelled after setting off bad weather - The trip was cancelled. We were advised we would get a refund. It never happened now 6th Jan 2026 Booking Ref 1307252555. Can we please get the refund processed. Please give a contact No or address on the booking detail
