Journey to Ugii Lake

Ugii Lake - Ogii Lake is located northeast of Ogiinuur soum in Arkhangai aimag, Mongolia. Ogii Lake covers an area of 25 square kilometers, stretching 7 kilometers long and 5 kilometers wide. At its deepest, it reaches about 15 meters. This freshwater steppe lake is situated 1,337 meters above sea level and is part of the Arctic Ocean basin. In 2006, the lake was designated for special protection. Ogii Lake is nourished by the Old Orkhon River from the west, and the Khooloin River flows northwest into the Orkhon River. It is covered with ice from November to May. Researchers have identified 14 species of fish, 27 species of floating plants, and 48 species of floating animals in the Orkhon River basin, including pike, perch, bream, red bream, and silver bream. This lake is home to approximately 150 species of waterfowl.

Return to Ulaanbaatar

Ulaanbaatar - After breakfast, the journey back to Ulaanbaatar begins. Along the route, there will be a stop for lunch and several short breaks to capture photos, relax, and appreciate the surrounding nature. There will also be opportunities to observe the local lifestyle in the countryside. Arrival in Ulaanbaatar is expected in the late afternoon or evening.
