Wonderful Day in the Kilimanjaro Foothills!! - Spent a wonderful day in the Kilimanjaro foothills walking, talking and learning with Charles. Charles is extremely knowledgeable about Chagga traditions and very easy to spend time with. It was like a walk with an old friend! We went on a waterfall hike and a coffee tour that included a delicious home prepared local lunch. Highly recommend for a day experience in Moshi!

Great way to see the best of Moshi - I had an amazing tour with Charles. I was in town for the Kili half marathon and the hike to the waterfalls was a great acclimation for the elevation. I also really enjoyed the coffee tour, lunch, and seeing MoshiTown. Charles even took me to local food after the race the next day and transported me to my next lodging. Charles’s English is amazing!

Wonderful tour of Moshi highlights - Charles was the best guide. He picked me up even after I gave him the wrong hotel. We hiked to the waterfall, did a coffee tour with the Chaga, had lunch in the Materuni village, toured Moshi town. Charles’s English was fabulous and he is a great driver. His wife is one of a few female safari guides in Tanzania. I learned so much about Moshi. I was in town for the half marathon and Charles even took me for barbecue after the race and transported me to my next accommodation. I highly recommend the tour and more!

Amazing cultural tour - The views were amazing! Charles did an amazing job at explaining the different types of vegetation as well as the village history. We loved every second. He truly goes above and beyond for his clients! I would recommend that anyone who is spending time in Moshi check out this tour.

Amazing tour!! - Charles was an outstanding tour guide who took me to the waterfalls, lunch and around Moshi. Conversation was relaxed and fun, but also informative, with his extensive insight into the country's history. Would highly recommend, if your looking for a tour that goes the extra mile for you.

A fantastic afternoon waterfall hike with Charles! - I met Charles on his Moshi city tour, and was so impressed by his knowledge and easygoing personality that I decided to also do the tour to Materuni with him, and I'm so happy I did! We went on an afternoon, since that's when I had time free on my schedule, and it turned out to be a great time to visit. The morning crowds have thinned out and we had most of the hike/waterfall experience to ourselves. It was also warmer so it doesn't feel cold standing by the falls! The falls itself is beautiful--thundering and visible from afar. Charles took care to lead me on slightly different trails there and back to see different aspects of the falls as well as distant views Moshi town and surrounding areas. In the car and on the hike, Charles chatted with me about the ways of life of the people who live in the surrounding areas, and pointed out many interesting plants and critters along the way. Having grown up nearby, Charles knows all about the area and is truly happy to share that knowledge and experience. I learned so much more about the lives of the people in the region--both in rural and urban areas--than I would have had otherwise. It really feels like hiking with a knowledgable, good friend. As a solo female traveler, I've realized that while there are many decent tour companies and guides out there, this kind of truly great personal interaction is not always a given, and really something to be treasured! Charles runs a great operation--he and his wife (one of the few female safari guides/drivers) also support girl's education and empowerment through their company. Highly recommend!

Amazing day out! - I've done lots of tours over the years in different countries but this was one of the best I've ever done! Charles was an incredible guide, so friendly, accommodating and so knowledgeable about local life/culture and answered all the questions I had with amazing depth and reflection. Really enjoyed the hike through the local village to the waterfall-stunning scenery and Charles was pointing out their crops/explaining how they lived all along the way. The coffee experience was really interesting and the villagers showed us the whole process from bean to cup. We really enjoyed being involved in the process the whole way through and hearing them singing while pounding the coffee/stepping through the process was such a highlight!. We also loved how quiet and simply beautiful the hot springs experience was-minimal tourists around and we loved the swimming plus the rope swing. Again here Charles was happy to watch our stuff while we swam and took videos of us which was really appreciated. Felt like we were having a day out with a friend rather than a formal tour as such (but a local friend who knows everything about the culture!)
