- Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Tour - Participants will be picked up from Moshi town and driven to Materuni village, located about 15 km up the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro, approximately 1800 meters above sea level. Experience the cooler climate and lush green landscape as the weather changes. After registration, embark on a 45-minute hike to the waterfalls, passing through banana and coffee farms with stunning views along the way.
Afterward, return to the village for a Coffee tour at a local’s home to learn about coffee cultivation, drying, roasting, and processing. Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in the preparation and enjoy a cup of coffee they helped make.
Following the Coffee tour, drive back to Moshi town for a tour to learn about the town’s history, visit the market, and observe how the multicultural local community coexists peacefully despite differences in religion, ethnicity, and politics.
