• Nordlingen - Situated in a meteorite crater, the former imperial city of Noerdlingen features a fully walkable circular city wall. The 90-meter high church tower “Daniel” was once a watchtower. The tour stops in the historic city center, offering opportunities for photos of this medieval town or a coffee with a view of the market square and church.
• Pestsaeule - The Plague-Pillar (“Pestsäule”) is an unexpected gem along the way, a brilliant Baroque masterpiece modeled after Viennese design, located in a charming village between Nördlingen and Dinkelsbühl.
• Dinkelsbuhl - Dinkelsbuehl, akin to Rothenburg but less crowded, offers a 30-minute city tour showcasing medieval treasures like the Gothic St. George’s Church, the impressive armory, half-timbered houses where emperors stayed, and a mysterious “modern” dinosaur.
