Especially thanks to Natalia, always very cute and friendly since I asked about the tours and Jaziel excellent guide and driver, explained very well everything about it and always with a very friendly treatment since with everyone was managed to have a good connection.

Authentic tours - Puerto Journeys is a local provider in Puerto Escondido that makes it worth exploring nature and the city in a social group that is always appropriate in number! The tour guides are there with great kindness and heart, so that you can feel comfortable and safe even as a solo traveler. I have already taken several tours in several holidays at this place with Puerto Journeys. Can recommend it to anyone!

Amazing, swimming with glowing water! Entire experience was perfect! - Both the guide, Jaziel and capt were highly knowledgeable about the area and able to describe what we were seeing. They were able to explain the difference in the mangrove flora , took us by several islands and explained what we were seeing. We are able to taste the salty leaves from the salt mangrove. We went through two separate lagoons via canals through the mangroves and ended up at a beachside Cabana. We swung on hammocks over the water had wonderful drinks then went back out after watching the sunset to swim in the bioluminescent plankton which was indescribably wonderful. Then back to our starting point in the dark which was kind of scary and fun at the same time. That Captain was amazing and knew the waterways with total confidence.

The boat trip through the... - The boat trip through the lagoons was so interesting, and the bioluminescence was fantastic. If you've never seen this magic effect, this is a must trip. And chacahua is year-round.

Magical Day in Chacahua With Maury - Fabulous trip with Maury, who spoke like a native English speaker. Saw many birds, lounged on a beach, watched a beautiful sunset and swam in bioluminescence. An unforgettable day in Chacahua.

Mangroves, birds and sunsets - Mauri, the captain and his assistant made this visit a 10/10. The environment is unbeatable and the team perfects it even more, you can see the affection for their land and the care and attention they put to everything. I went to know the lagoons of Chacahua and its flora and fauna, the addition of bioluminescence was a plus that just completed the experience! Highly recommended if you like nature and tranquility.

Chacahua Lagoon Tour with Mauricio - This was an amazing and memorable experience! The tour was educational, fun, unique, relaxing, interesting and stress-free. Our guide Mauricio was helpful, knowledgeable, kind and accommodating. Make sure to ask for him. The captain of our boat was also great because he was very good at finding birds in the mangroves, even stopping the boat a few times and waiting so that everyone could see whatever bird he had found. It was a long, full day but the adventure was worth it!!

Super Fun and Educational! - This is an excellent excursion with an exceptional guide, Maury. It entails an approximate 90 minute drive west from Puerto Escondido to El Zapotalito village, a boat ride across lagoons and through mangroves, a visit to Chacahua village for beach, surfing, swimming, sunbathing, food and beverages (surfboard rental is 200 pesos, and it and restaurant food/drinks are not included in the cost of the tour package), sunset on a beautiful beach, then a night boat ride back across lagoons and through mangroves to El Zapotalito, stopping to admire the bioluminescence in the water with opportunity to swim and stargaze on the return trip. Finally, the approximate 90 minute drive back to Puerto Escondido. Lots of information about the mangroves, flora and fauna, bioluminescence, plus history of Chacahua and the area, all provided by Maury. This exclusion is much more worthwhile than those that strictly involve a short boat ride to see the bioluminescence.

Worth it but go with change for the bathroom! - Going to the mangrove, the bioluminescence and the starry night was very worth it, we went as a couple and our guide Oliver was very attentive, he picked us up on time at the hotel, he gave us water and some toast there, he knew a lot about the culture of Chacahua, the only thing we did not like is that they charge the bathrooms and are dirty, even if you eat in the restaurant of Laguna Chacahua, they charge you 10 or 5 pesos, they have no watering cans and are very dirty, from there on out everything very excellent!
