Great day seeing Nagoya with "Matt" as our guide! - We had a wonderful time seeing Nagoya with our guide Mr. "Matt" Enomoto. (Japan Guide Agency) We visited Nagoya in April while on a cruise from Tokyo. We much prefer to use local guides to show us around, instead of bus tours). Mr Enomoto was a great person to spend the day with! We had a full day, seeing the beautiful cherry blossoms and so many important and interesting places in the area. He even made sure we got on the right train to take us back to the port at the end of the day. My husband and I can certainly recommend Japan Guide Agency and if you are looking for a guide n Nagoya, ask for "Matt"!

Friendly and knowledgeable guide, a beautiful experience! - Our guide, Matt (Enomoto) was so knowledgeable and kind! He took us to the Toyota commemorative museum, Nagoya castle, Atsusa shrine, and the sword museum. Matt is a former Toyota employee and knew a lot of facts about the industry as well as the city of Nagoya. He was so gracious and translated for us to the Toyota museum employees so they could give demonstrations in English. He showed us so much about the culture and how to show respect and pray at the shrine. We took the subway and bus with him. Highly recommend!

Perfect Snippet of Nagoya - Todd (Takao) was a very helpful and knowledgeable guide. The palace and gardens he took us to were absolutely beautiful. He was also very informative when we visited the local museum. There, he provided insight into the symbolism and meaning of many of the artifacts and works of art. The lunch he took us to was delicious and an excellent opportunity to sample Nagoya cuisine. We recommend Todd to anyone visiting Nagoya who needs a local guide.

Full day in Nagoya - We had a wonderful day with Todd. He was very informative and took us all over Nagoya. The castle was wonderful but you can not go inside. The cherry trees were in full blossom and the festival in full swing. My word of advice is that we needed cash for many of the attractions, food & trains so be aware. We did need to take 2 trains & 2 taxis “paid with credit card” throughout the day, castle, Mirai tower & more. Luckily we had enough cash on us.

Authentic Nagoya Experience with Matt - Matt, a former Toyota employee, offers a knowledgeable tour starting at the factory. He’s punctual, professional, and eager to provide a great experience. While cultural differences may feel a bit rigid, he’s attentive, dedicated and truly Japanese. Bring cash for transit and food!
