Masai Mara Full Day

Maasai Mara National Reserve - After an early breakfast with a picnic lunch, spend the entire day exploring this remarkable park, which forms the northern part of the renowned Serengeti National Park. There is an opportunity to visit the Mara River, the border between Masai Mara and the famous Serengeti Park, where a high concentration of wildlife can be observed, especially during the travel period. All meals and overnight accommodation are provided at the camp.

Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru

Lake Nakuru National Park - An optional visit to a Masai Village is available. After a late breakfast, depart for Nakuru National Park with a picnic lunch along the way. Dinner and overnight stay are at Hillcourt-Buraha Zenoni, offering budget-friendly accommodation.

Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha

Lake Naivasha - Following an early breakfast, spend the morning in Nakuru Park, where there is an opportunity to see flamingos among other birds, with about 350 species recorded. The park is also home to black and white rhinoceroses and has been established to protect endangered species such as the rhino. It is also inhabited by colobus monkeys, leopards, giraffes, and various plain antelopes. Later, depart for nearby Lake Naivasha with a picnic lunch en route, and enjoy an optional evening boat ride on Crescent Island. Dinner and overnight stay are at Dove Nest Lodge.

Lake Naivasha - Nairobi

Hell’s Gate National Park - After an early breakfast, proceed to Hell’s Gate National Park, where there is an opportunity to visit the Geothermal Power Plant in Ol Karia and the Hot Springs. This is the only park that permits walking and cycling as modes of transport. An optional visit to Crescent Island for a boat ride is available, where hippos and other wildlife can be observed.

Nairobi - After lunch, depart for Nairobi, arriving at 3 pm, with drop-off at the hotel or airport.

A truly great experience - The 5-day safari was truly breathtaking, and we have many wonderful memories to take home with us. The entire tour was very well organized, and our guide, David, had a wealth of information to share about the individual animals and locations. We booked a private safari, which meant we had the Land Cruiser all to ourselves, making the safari even more enjoyable. We would book through Jocky Tours again in a heartbeat. Thank you for the fantastic days, David, and the Jocky Tours team!

Most satisfying and thrilling African safari experience on a budget - As I write this review, looking back at the trip, I believe it was the most exciting 8 days spent in Africa and it was made possible by Jocky tours. 10/10 when it comes to value for money. They are highly cooperative, polite and clear in their communications as well as commitment. They also let us customize our itinerary to include Amboseli along with Nakuru, Naivasha and Masai Mara. They also let us modify the accommodation as we wanted to stay near park entry gates. All park entry fees, accommodation and food was taken care of. So we went without a thing to worry about. When I look back at our accommodation, food, safari game drives —- I don’t think it could’ve been done better. It truly was a singular, most unique, and thrilling experience. Thanks a lot to the whole team of Jocky tours. Having said that, I would like to make a special mention for Rahim, our guide, who was exceptional. Without him, I don’t think we would have enjoyed this trip so much. He always put that extra bit of effort to make sure that we had more sightings during the game drives. Thanks to him, we saw 5 lions (including a lion hunting a warthog) in Lake Nakuru National Park and 45 lions in Masai Mara. Yes indeed, 45 lions — the truth, not a typo or a goofed up story. A top notch driver, Rahim drove us through such complex and challenging terrains in Masai Mara (especially after the rains) that we could have hardly imagined. He was also very cooperative and kind enough to position the vehicle as per our photography demands, every single time, and with a smile on his face. Truly, take a bow Rahim. Super skilled, highly reliable and deeply honest…you’re the best.

A Dream Journey in East Africa - We just completed an incredible 7-day safari journey through Masai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha, Hell’s Gate, and Amboseli. Our guide, David Mukami, was absolutely phenomenal. His driving skills are top-notch, and he was constantly communicating via radio to ensure we didn't miss a single moment of the action. Thanks to David Mukami’s expertise and sharp eyes, we saw an astounding variety of wildlife, including Thomson's Gazelle, Topi, Impala, Waterbuck, Wildebeest, Zebra, Giraffe, Hippo, Buffalo, Rhino, and Elephant. The birdlife was equally impressive, from the elegant Crested Crane and Secretary Bird to Guineafowl, Egyptian Geese, and Flamingos. We were also lucky enough to spot the big predators and elusive cats: Serval, Leopard, Jackal, Hyena, Lion, and Cheetah. Seeing these animals in their natural habitat is a completely different level of "wow" compared to watching them on TV—the scale and raw beauty are simply overwhelming. Big five and more - Looking for the ultimate Kenyan safari? Richard is your man. 　We didn't just see the Big Five—we experienced them. Witnessing a leopard up close and cheetahs in action was absolutely surreal. 　Unforgettable memories led by a true expert. Highly recommended!

An extraordinary trip—we spent five days in paradise thanks to our wonderful guide Joseph. - An extraordinary trip—we spent five days in paradise thanks to our wonderful guide Joseph. Everything was magnificent and extremely beautiful. We highly recommend this safari, and if you're lucky, you'll have Joseph as your guide. He is very kind, always accommodating, and can spot animals even from a long distance. We felt very safe and truly well looked after. Thank you very much! Note : For the Hell's Gate tour, we decided to walk rather than rent bikes. We hesitated for a long time, but we also recommend this option, which allows you to see the animals without getting sunburned. The bike rental fee is optional and costs an additional $20 per person. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes for Hell's Gate, as the terrain can be slippery. We also chose to visit the Masai Mara village, which was a truly timeless experience that we highly recommend. We stayed in économie tent accommodation for the first two days, which was a very good experience. We were made to feel very welcome and could hear the animals at night. It was just amazing.

Definitely worth it ! - As the title says, it’s been a really great experience. We have had really good and easy-going guides Joshua and his intern Alvin. He was proactive in explaining about the wildlife and also about Kenyan culture. He was always kind and helpful with anything. About the trip itself: Maasai Mara was the best part of the whole package. Honestly, we recommend to prolong the stay in Maasai Mara by one day - because it’s just stunning. We’ve seen all the animals from the so-called “big five” in unique situations and plenty other animals. Rest of the trip was also nice, it had different vibes than Maasai Mara, so it was not seeing the same all over again. One little negative of the trip overall in Kenya is whenever you pass by any tourist shop or locals, they try to sell you whatever they have, often in a very pushy way. First few days it was ok, but later on it became really annoying. Also, from our point of view, the souvenirs were quite expensive. If you are still deciding about this trip - your answer should be yes! It was absolutely worth it and we would recommend it to anyone! Tomáš, Lukáš and Adams

Amazing experience - The safari was magnificent! We saw the Big Five except for the leopard. These were moments of pure happiness for us. Our guide, Ken, was very kind and attentive and did his best to help us spot all the animals. It’s clear that he has a great deal of experience. We managed to take beautiful photos. The lodges were acceptable for the budget price, except for the lodges in the Maasai Mara, which were not very comfortable and offered very modest meals. I recommend asking to change them and paying extra, as we did. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I truly recommend doing the safari with Jockey Tours — very responsive with good communication.

Awesome! - We are two sisters who were going on a Safaritour with Solomon. He was very communicative and told us everything there was to know about the animals and fauna. He also gave us all the time we needed; he stopped whenever there was something to see so we could take our photos. We never felt pressured or rushed. He just let us do our thing. He is therefore very easy to be around. He always checked with us if we were alright or if we needed anything. The level of thoughtfulness is really appreciated. We want to thank him for making this tour so memorable and for all the (funny) conversations we had. Now the overall review: The communication about the itinerary was really good. We received the planning per mail and Solomon walked us through it everyday, so we knew exactly what we could expect for those days. Every penny spent was well worth it. The accommodations were okay and well organised. Everything was taken care of and that was really appreciated. The tour really exceeded all our expectations and we are really greatful for that. Thank you!
