- Ozkonak Underground City - Ozkonak Underground City offers all the typical features found in other underground complexes throughout Cappadocia, including wine and oil presses, stables, cellars, storage rooms, refectories, and chapels. A distinctive feature of the Derinkuyu complex, located on the second floor, is a large room with a barrel-vaulted ceiling. It is believed that this room served as a religious school, with adjacent rooms used for studies. A vertical staircase connects the third and fourth levels, leading to a cruciform church on the lowest level. The impressive 55-meter ventilation shaft likely functioned as a well, supplying water to both the villagers above and those in hiding when the outside world was inaccessible.
- Red Valley - Red Valley (Kizilcukur) is renowned as one of the premier spots to witness the sunrise and sunset in Cappadocia. Situated in the heart of Goreme National Park, it is named for the red-hued tuff rocks and fairy chimneys scattered throughout the valley. It is one of the most popular attractions in Cappadocia.
Red Valley boasts a stunning landscape in a dreamy crimson hue that captivates its visitors. It is often considered the most beautiful valley in Cappadocia.
- Rose Valley - The Rose Valley trail is a loop that connects to the Red Valley trail. Initially, there was some difficulty in finding the correct path, resulting in lost time. To reach the Red Valley sunset point promptly, a portion of the Rose Valley trail was skipped. Starting earlier allows for completing the full loop.
- Cavusin - The village may have been known as Kodessane during the early Christian era.
In 2011, American Duke Dillard relocated to Çavuşin with his family and established the Captivating Cappadocia website, which features photos and information about the village.
- Ortahisar Kalesi - This small town is dominated by a 90-meter-high (300 ft) rock castle at its center, referred to as Sivrikaya by locals. It is an extraordinary example of the region’s rock-cut architecture and is believed to have served as a refuge from attackers during Byzantine times. The town also features the Cambazlı Kilise (‘Church of Acrobats’), a cross-in-square church with 13th-century wall paintings, now used as a storehouse.
- Pigeon Valley - Pigeon Valley is home to thousands of pigeon houses carved into the rock, presenting a surreal landscape reminiscent of a Salvador Dali painting. The conical formations are the result of volcanic eruptions millions of years ago. Over time, wind, rain, and other natural forces have eroded the volcanic rock, creating tufa, a soft and malleable stone. Many of these cones, known as fairy chimneys, contain caves and labyrinths.
