India Gate - India Gate is a war memorial that was part of the Imperial War Graves Commission’s work, established in December 1918 under British rule to build war graves and memorials for soldiers who died in the First World War. The foundation stone of the gate, initially called the All India War Memorial, was laid on 10 February 1921.
Humayun’s Tomb - Humayun’s Tomb in Delhi, India, was commissioned by Humayun’s first wife and chief consort, Empress Bega Begum, in 1558. Designed by Persian architects Mirak Mirza Ghiyas and his son, Sayyid Muhammad, it was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent and the first large-scale use of red sandstone. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993, the complex includes the main tomb of Emperor Humayun, housing the graves of Empress Bega Begum, Hajji Begum, Dara Shikoh, and other Mughals.
Lotus Temple - The Lotus Temple in New Delhi, India, is a Baháʼí House of Worship dedicated in December 1986. Known for its lotus-like shape, it is a major city attraction. Open to all, regardless of religion, the temple was designed by Iranian architect Fariborz Sahba.
Red Fort - The Red Fort, a historic fort in Old Delhi, served as the main residence of Mughal emperors. Commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan on 12 May 1638, it was designed by Ustad Ahmad Lahori, who also built the Taj Mahal. The fort represents the pinnacle of Mughal architecture under Shah Jahan, blending Persianate palace architecture with Indian traditions. Despite being plundered during Nader Shah’s invasion in 1739 and partially demolished by the British after the 1857 rebellion, the fort’s defensive walls remain intact. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007.
Qutub Minar - The Qutub Minar is a victory tower and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, constructed between 1199 and 1220.
Raj Ghat - Raj Ghat is a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi in Delhi, India. Originally a historic ghat of Old Delhi, it marks the site of Gandhi’s cremation on 31 January 1948. The black marble platform is open to the sky, with an eternal flame burning at one end.
Friday Mosque (Jama Masjid) - The Jama Masjid of Delhi is one of India’s largest mosques, built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan between 1650 and 1656. Designed by Ustad Ahmad Lahori and completed by Ustad Khalil, it was constructed by a diverse workforce of Indians, Arabs, Persians, Turks, and Europeans.
Rashtrapati Bhavan - Home to the President of India, Rashtrapati Bhavan is the creation of architects Sir Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker. Lutyens conceptualized the H-shaped building, covering 5 acres on a 330-acre estate.

Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983, it is considered a masterpiece of Mughal architecture and attracts 7-8 million visitors annually. Agra Fort - Agra Fort, also known as Agra’s Red Fort, is a historical fort where Mughal emperor Humayun was crowned. Renovated by Emperor Akbar from 1565 to 1573, it served as the main residence of Mughal rulers until 1638. It is also known as “Lal-Qila.”

Amber Fort - Located in Jaipur, Amber Fort is a principal tourist attraction. Its construction began in 1592 under Man Singh I. The fort is a prime example of Rajput architecture, with some Mughal influences.
Jal Mahal - Jal Mahal, meaning “Water Palace,” is situated in the middle of Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur. Originally constructed in 1699, it was renovated and enlarged in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber.
City Palace of Jaipur - The City Palace in Jaipur, completed in 1732, served as the royal residence and administrative headquarters of Jaipur State rulers. It now houses the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum and remains the home of the Jaipur royal family.
Jantar Mantar - Jaipur - The Jantar Mantar Observatory, built by Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh, features the world’s largest stone sundial and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Completed in 1734, it exemplifies Ptolemaic positional astronomy.
Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind - The Hawa Mahal in Jaipur, built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, features a honeycomb-like exterior with 953 small windows. Designed by Lal Chand Ustad, it allowed royal ladies to observe street life without being seen.
Albert Hall Museum - The Albert Hall Museum in Jaipur, the state’s oldest museum, was designed by Samuel Swinton Jacob and opened in 1887. Named after King Edward VII, its foundation stone was laid during his visit as Prince of Wales in 1876.
Birla Mandir Temple - Built by the B.M. Birla Foundation in 1988, Birla Mandir in Jaipur is dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu. Constructed entirely of white marble, it is also known as the Lakshmi Narayan Temple.
