Great time… great food - Harriett was both entertaining and informative. Had a great time learning several wonderful recipes. Great staff as well and a visit to the NOCS store afterwards for pralines and spices was perfect.

How can cooking be this fun? - We attended a Monday Morning Demo Cooking Class with Meal. The facility was clean and comfortable. The staff at the check in process was friendly, cheerful, enthusiastic and helpful. The Demo Kitchen was spacious and comfortable with good visibility. Austin, the instructor was very personable, knowledgeable and funny. We appreciated the humor. Above all, Austin know how to cook! He prepared Gumbo, Red Beans and Rice, Pecan Pies and Pralines. The best part of all was, we had all of the prepared food for lunch. A bonus, was the very well stocked General Store with many regional, difficult to find ingredients, cooking utensils and cookbooks. Since coupons and discounts were provided to class attendees, we loaded up. I would highly recommend the New Orleans Cooking School. It is well worth the cost.

Good gumbo and jambalaya are not complicated.. - We had Austin as our chef as we opted for the cooking class demonstration with gumbo, jambalaya and praline. He was excellent gave us advice on what roux goes with what dish. The food he cooked for us was excellent and the portions were very substantial.. All in our group really enjoyed our time there.

Food was okay - The chef made unacceptable jokes about God. Irreverence is not funny.
