Great World Cultures museum by the Eiffel Tower - Fantastic museum by the river Seine and Eiffel Tower. You need to spend at least two hours to do it justice. We really liked the Americas section. Lots of interesting and beautiful cultures from all continents. From Inuit clothing to Bolivian carnival costumes. We were also lucky to enter free this month of January. Usually only free first Sunday of the month.

Modern and ancient at the same time - I loved discovering this museum , a floor that brings together works from Asia , Africa , Egypt rather “craftsmanship” very few pictorial works! Materials and techniques from all periods follow one another in a cozy atmosphere because little outdoor light I also visited the Amazonia exhibition in the basement which also gathers a lot of work while also highlighting the climatic and cultural difficulties of this region.

Thank you Jacques! - An emblematic museum that we owe to Jacques Chirac. Beautiful museography, richly highlighted. You make a beautiful whole in two hours. The question in the background is how these works of distant origin for the most part came to France...!

What a frustration!!!! - AMAZONIA: an exhibition on a culture opposite ours. Incomprehensible, very badly staged. Cartels are very talkative and are intended for PhD students. No help, no perspective, no explanation. Just an identification of the objects. In the course of a cartel, we learn that the objects when they have not been stolen are fake stuff given by the tribes and do not correspond to anything. Of course, there is the usual self-flagellation, woke de rigueur. By the way, this lack of information is reflected in the orientation: finding the parking lot, finding the entrance to the museum, understanding the different tickets is a feat. Otherwise parking costs more than the entrance ticket, bravo!!!!!

A little chaotic inside - The museum is modern architecture inside and outside. It has two gishes entering on the right, while the museum entrance is on the other side on the left. The museum has a wardrobe (cloakroom) to leave your backpacks and provides free charging points for mobile phones in closets. Toilets are in the basement, where there are also event and projection halls. The main space of the museum is on the top floor. The hallways of the exhibits follow a rotating museum and are labyrinthic without a clear indication of the exit or the proposed route. This is something that would improve the visitor experience. The exhibits were rich, mainly from Oceania, Polynesia, Africa and South America. One can spend from 45' for a quick look, up to 3-4 hours for careful observation.
