Fabulous tour to Normandy/Omaha with teens! - This trip should be on everyone’s Paris itinerary! So worth the time and cost and our guide Mr John Baptiste was excellent. He had the knowledge base you would expect for a tour like this. The small group feel was so much better and we were glad we opted for that vs a 30+ tour. He talked history during portions of the car ride out, and gave us plenty of info and time to explore each stop. I’ll add my husband was recovering from a leg injury and he and the tour were very accommodating and we were able to bring his crutches along for the day. The van setup was also very comfortable. It’s a larger van with 2x2x3 setup in the back and if you had an 8th attendee one would sit in the front seat. The driver/guide are the same person!! Van had umbrellas we used at one stop! Also I had great viator communications and was told in advance the meeting point for our tour was at a cafe that opens 6am, so you have time to get there ahead of the 645 arrival meet time and sit down for coffee and pastries which we did. We also stopped at a nice rest stop on both legs of the trip for restrooms and food. HIGHLY recommend this tour! It’s a long day but it didn’t feel long and we got a lot out of it. I will say we were there over Easter week and the tour crowds were low, I can’t imagine how busy all the stops would be in peak summer travel season. The quieter nature was appreciated during our visit timeframe

Great experience on the day trip to Normandy! - We had a truly outstanding experience on this tour. Our guide Julien was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and he did great with our curious 12 year old. We loved the small tour size - it was really nice to all be in a van and to have such an easy way to get around. The lunch was also perfect. I would recommend this to anyone looking to take a (long) day trip to see Normandy.

Great Day Trip from Paris - Incredible experience seeing one of the most important battle sites of modern history. The tour captured our three "musts": Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc, and the American cemetery. All of which was capped off with fantastic food (duck breast and fries) and the cider tasting. Antoine was an excellent tour guide who was knowledgeable and very friendly. Highly recommend!

Not enough historical information during tour! - We had thought there would be much more information and historical context. It’s a three hour drive from Paris but during that time the guide just drove. Wasted opportunity! More information could have made such a difference in the tour.

I don’t think Bruno wants to do this job - Our tour guide did this tour a tremendous disservice. He took us from point to point and would provide us with five seconds of information and then he would get back in the van and leave us on our own. The other guides from this booking with other groups stayed with their groups and provided them with a lot of information. So this is to say it’s not a tour problem, it was a guide (Bruno) problem. For 13 hours we felt like hostages riding in total silence from place to place. I don’t think Bruno wants to be doing this job, so he probably shouldn’t. What should have been an emotional and informative tour turned out to be an awkward 13 hours. Bruno functioned more in the capacity of driver than guide. My advice would be to read about DDay and Normandy on your own prior to the trip so that you can lead your own tour. Especially if you get stuck with Bruno.

Bruno was disappointing - Bruno, our guide, was a disappointment. He never told us where we were heading, or the significance.
