• Archaeological Site at Pella - The archaeological site of Pella spans 1,000 acres. Key discoveries from the excavations include houses with mosaic floors, the palace on the northern hill, the agora in the city center, and three sanctuaries: Thesmoforion, the sanctuary of Venus, and the sanctuary of Darrhon.
• Archaeological Museum of Pella - Located on the northeast side of the archaeological site, Pella’s museum is the final stop for visitors exploring the area. Here, they can admire numerous archaeological artifacts and relate them to the region’s monuments, gaining insights into daily life in the Macedonian capital.
• Museum of the Royal Tombs of Aigai (Vergina) - The expansive archaeological site of Vergina includes the Museum, the Palace, the city (ancient Greek term: «άστυ»), the acropolis, and the surrounding area. The Royal Tombs in the ancient necropolis of Aigai are the most significant attraction. The museum, which houses artifacts covered in mud for many years, is also located here. Its most notable exhibit is the gold larnaca (funerary casket) decorated with the star of the Macedonian Dynasty, which contained the remains of King Philip II and fragments of his golden wreath.
