Amazon Tour Adventure
Iquitos Amazon Region - Guests will be picked up from either the Iquitos airport or their hotel. Amazon Tour Adventure
Iquitos Amazon Region - Guests will be picked up from either the Iquitos airport or their hotel. The journey will then proceed to the town of Puerto Nanay, also known as Bellavista port, where a boat will be boarded for the Tucan Jungle Expedition. The boat will travel approximately 70 km, offering views of wildlife such as turtles and alligators. Upon arrival at the hostel, lunch will be served.
The next destination is Monkey Island, home to various monkey species including the capuchin, masked marmoset, and woolly monkey. Visitors may also encounter snakes, “mata mata” turtles, and river dolphins.
The day will conclude with dinner back at the lodge, followed by a guided night walk to observe insects, birds, lizards, and other nocturnal creatures.
Amazon Tour Adventure
Iquitos Amazon Region - Following a traditional breakfast, the tour will set sail towards the Amazon Basin for a wildlife watching tour, showcasing the diverse flora and fauna of the rainforest.
Lunch will be served before returning to the Amazon River for piranha and catfish fishing. Guests will also have the chance to see the Victoria Regia plants, the largest aquatic plants in the world.
Before heading back to the Tucan Jungle Expedition lodge, there will be a stop to enjoy the sunset. After dinner at the lodge, a brief night excursion will be conducted to observe alligators in their natural environment.
Amazon Tour Adventure
Iquitos Amazon Region - After breakfast, the tour will proceed to the Palo Alto viewpoint, a watchtower offering views of the Amazon rainforest from three different levels.
A short canoe ride will follow, with optional piranha fishing, and visits to the lagoons surrounding Palo Alto. After exploring the rainforest, lunch will be served back at Palo Alto.
A brief walk will then allow for more wildlife observation, followed by a sunset viewing before returning to the Tucan Jungle Expedition lodge for dinner.
A short overnight tour will conclude with a return to Palo Alto for a camping experience.
Amazon Tour Adventure
Iquitos Amazon Region - The day will begin early with breakfast, followed by a brief jungle tour before returning to the Tucan Jungle Expedition lodge. Guests will have the opportunity to see the Giant Ceiba trees, iconic plants of the Amazon rainforest.
The journey will then continue back to the city of Iquitos, where a visit to the Yaguas indigenous tribe will take place, offering insights into the local customs of the Amazon jungle inhabitants.
The tour will conclude with a transfer back to Iquitos city, with drop-off at either the hotel or airport, ending at 5:30 pm.
