- Royal Palace - Guests will be picked up from their hotel and transported to the magnificent Royal Palace complex, the residence of the Cambodian royal family and a national emblem. The tour begins in the exquisite royal gardens, adorned with tropical flora and sparkling spires. Visitors will enter the Throne Hall, the venue for royal receptions and the coronation of the Cambodian king. The tour proceeds past the Napoleon III Pavilion, an iron structure gifted by the French emperor in the 19th century. The journey continues to the Silver Pagoda, named for its 5,000 silver tiles, each weighing 1kg. Inside, visitors will find some of the nation’s most treasured artifacts, including a life-size gold Buddha encrusted with 9,584 diamonds, the largest of which is 25 carats.
- Wat Phnom Daun Penh - After leaving the Royal Palace, the tour proceeds to Wat Phnom Temple, established by Daun Penh (Grandma Penh), a prosperous widow who, in 1372, discovered a log containing five Buddha statues in a river. She ordered the elevation of a piece of her land to construct a temple for the statues. Subsequently, Grandma Penh and the villagers built a temple atop the hill and placed the four Buddha statues within it.
- Independence Monument - The tour concludes with a visit to the Independence Monument, constructed in 1958 and inaugurated in 1962 during the Sangkum Reastr regime. This monument stands as a proud tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s welfare. Its tranquil and cool ambiance makes it a highly desirable destination. Guests will be dropped off at their hotel.
