Great short tour out of Pinhao - Great tour in a beautiful place. We considered a full day tour from Porto but I was afraid I’d be carsick in a bus, so we opted to take the train instead. This was a perfect tour for us. The very nice driver, Crispin, took us to a nearby winery, five minute car ride, and told us a bit about port production on the way. The winery was very beautiful, and we had a tour by a winery staff member- we went into the vineyard a bit and then saw the tank where they crush the grapes and the casks. Then we tasted three kinds of port wine- white, ruby, and tawny. After that, a boat ride to see the beautiful scenery. It was short but it was enough- not the most comfortable seats, so we were ready to head back. I was a bit surprised that the boats were not the traditional kind, just an ordinary boat, but I was happy that they had a shade structure. Actually, they were very careful to keep us in shade as much as possible which was appreciated on a hot day. Do bring your own water- the winery had some for sale fortunately. Lunch is on your own, but there are nice options near the meetup point (a short walk downhill from the train station). The train ride from Porto is longer than I thought and not air conditioned.

Love Pinhao - Bruno was a great guide, with good English and a good sense of humor. We learned about the Quintas and the new and old way of growing grapes. The boar was comfortable, jest 10 min late

Thanks for a great time! - Our trip started off with a wonderful boat ride which was a perfect way to see some of the wineries, the river and briefly learn about the history of the Douro valley. Then had a great experience from the minute that Angie picked up! She was lovely and very knowledgeable. She took us to the Croft winery where we had a wonderful tour led by Marguretta. We then had some port tastings and Angie drive us back directly to our hotel. We were very lucky because we had booked a group tour but it ended up being private. Angie was very friendly and gave us tips at places to go in the area. I highly recommend this trip! Thanks for a great time!

Douro Discovery tour - The tour was perfect for our short day trip to Pinhaõ. Angie did a wonderful job showing us around and there were amazing views of the Douro valley. I will highly recommend for anyone else hoping to visit the area.

Wonderful experience! - The guides were very knowledgeable and the views were so picturesque! We had a lovely morning boat tour followed by a nice wine tasting and tour of the vineyards.

Crispín was a wonderful... - Crispín was a wonderful guide. He is articulate and knowledgeable, and made the tour fun. We would recommend him highly.

Douro tour - We had Alexia as our guide! Great service!!! We arrived late for the activity and the company accommodated us without problem! I recommend this tour without hesitation

The tour of the quinta... - The tour of the quinta was informative and beautiful. Our tour guide was fantastic and we enjoyed the interaction with the other tourists. A very enjoyable afternoon.

Amazing trip - One of the best trips I ever had. I was by myself on the boat ride and had fun . The two guys were the best. They were very knowledgeable .

Duoro valley is such a unique place, too good to be missed! - We went to Quinta da Roêda. The drivers taking us to the Quinta were friendly. The tour guide at Quinta da Roêda seems to be in a bad mood though; he did not give much info. The boat tour was great, Ivo was very humorous, friendly, gave us lots of information on the Quinta by the river bank. Thanks to GuGu too!
