Wonderful 4-day trek in January to Muldai and Poon Hill viewpoints - I wanted to do a 4-day trip to Mulde/Muldai Viewpoint, since I heard it was much less crowded than Poon Hill, but we ended up going to both, with different amazing views from each. My daughter and I had a very good experience, from working with Tej to arrange things, who was very helpful. He even came to where we were staying when the payment site didn't work. Our guide was Yugal, whose English was very good, was very patient, and shared a lot of information about the mountains, Nepal and himself. He took care of all the details smoothly. My porter (my daughter carried her pack) was Ramesh, who was also very helpful and gracious. Both of them had great senses of humor. Going in early January was nice being the low season, as the trails, towns and lodges were quite empty. And of the four companies I inquired with, the cost with Nepal Alternative Treks was the least expensive. All in all a wonderful experience!

Poon Hill - Our trip to Poon Hill was very well organized. Dilal took care of us during the trek, and it was clear that he was an experienced guide and mountaineer. :) The most difficult moments came after the trek, when we were returning to Pokhara, where there was unrest. Even in these moments, Tej and Dilal took care of us and got us to safety. Thank you very much!

A unique and memorable holiday! - This was one of the most unique and memorable trips that we've ever been on. Unfortunately, the Poon Hill views were blocked by the clouds, but we thoroughly enjoyed the rest of our time trekking through the Nepalese wilderness. The highlight of our trip was waking up to the epic sunrise views of Annapurna South from Ghandruk. Our guide and porter were especially kind and patient with me - a photographer lugging around a big film camera and constantly stopping to make photos. The company also arranged a one-day city tour of Kathmandu for us, and we were very happy with our guide who expertly tailored our stops and made the most out of the limited time that we had. We're already thinking about our return to Nepal, and we will gladly use Alternative Treks & Expeditions on our next trip!

Amazing for the first time in Napal - Trekking to Poon Hill with Alternative Nepal was a great experience. The sunrise views over the Annapurna ranges were stunning, and the journey through rhododendron forests was refreshing. The team was professional and made the trip smooth and enjoyable.

I had a wonderful experience with Dhan the guide and Sanjay the Porter. Both were exceptionally helpful, caring and made the experience great. Appreciate to have access to you 24/7 to answer my questions, change the itinerary and get everything organised. Happy to recommend Tej and his team at Nepal Alternative Treks and Expeditions. Wouldn't hesitate to use the same people if go again. Treated us like family. - The manager Tej, very helpful, organised everything smoothly, transport, guides, permits with minimal of fuss. The guide and porters, lovely, friendly, flexible to our needs. To be honest it seemed the guide wasn't that experienced with the route we took, but everyone has to start somewhere, and she and porters more than made up with all the effort and care they put in for us. Group of 6 had a wide range of age (10-75), ability (experienced-novice) and energy, which is a challenge for any group, but the guide made sure we could all manage it and have a great time. We chopped and changed the itinerary half way through (one of our group just couldn't go on another day) and the guide's effort made it go without a hitch. Wouldn't hesitate to use the same people if go again

Just perfect experience! - I completed a 14-day stay with Nepal Alternative Treks & Expeditions in Nepal and Bhutan and was very satisfied. Professional guide, good organization, great price. All the organization from the stay in Kathmandu, to the trip to Pokhara, the trek to Poon Hill and the trip to Bhutan was just perfect. English speaking and smiling staff who met our requirements and tried to solve even the impossible. I highly recommend and I'm definitely looking forward to my first EBC trek next year.

First taste of Nepal...but not last! - Tej was very helpfull to build our first treck, and even without the best weather, we really enjoyed these days hiking: forest, view on some high mountains, and discovering the culture (it was Nepalese New Year and we shared nice time with our guid Dahn and porter Nirmal).
