• Trulli il Castagno - Experience the Itria Valley uniquely through trekking and gain insights into constructing the traditional dry stone walls of the trulli.

While trekking through the Valle d’Itria countryside, participants can learn wall-building techniques, enjoy selected wines, and savor sandwiches filled with local delicacies.

During the trek, participants will encounter various types of walls, each with unique characteristics, ranging from ancient to more recent. The trulli and the scenic view of the Itria Valley will add a touch of charm to the nature walk. Upon completing the circular route, there will be an opportunity to learn about constructing a dry stone wall using the traditional and enduring tools of the master paretaro, which have remained unchanged for centuries. After the walk, participants can relax under the shade of a centuries-old olive tree overlooking the Itria Valley and enjoy a simple snack of homemade bread, baked in a wood-fired oven and filled with local specialties.
