Great Experience with a Great View - We had a great experience. The food was amazing. Service was great. Our server knew our name and would bring us whatever we asked for off the menu whenever we asked for it. The water was incredible. Massage was good as well. Great experience overall!

Heartbroken - Mr. Sancho's Has Lost Its Magic - Man, this review is hard to write because I LOVED Mr. Sancho's. I've been recommending this place to everyone who asked about Cozumel excursions since my amazing first visit in 2015. That's why writing this feels like losing an old friend. I visited on June 14, 2025, with my family (party of 6) during our cruise stop in Cozumel. From the moment we arrived at 11 AM, I knew something had changed...and not for the better. First red flag: there was a line of at least 50+ people just waiting to get INTO the place, standing in the blazing sun for about 30 minutes. And this was with just ONE ship docked! AND WE HAD RESERVATIONS!!!! I can't imagine the chaos when multiple cruise ships are in port. The check-in staff was short and rude with me, which immediately set a negative tone. Y'all, I remember when this place had a 2-page menu with amazing options and drinks that actually had alcohol in them. This time? The drinks were so watered down I literally had to order them 2 at a time just to feel anything. The food took 45 minutes to come out, which completely defeats the purpose of "all you can eat" when you're on a time crunch from your cruise. They've clearly prioritized quantity over quality. The beach area felt so much smaller because they've crammed in way more tables. Remember those relaxing hammocks? Gone. It felt like a cattle ranch instead of the peaceful beach paradise I remembered. I have to give major props to my waiter Gaby - this man was an absolute saint. He was patient, kind, and attentive even though the people at the cabana next to us were being completely rude. He didn't let their bad attitude affect how he treated our party, and honestly, he's the only reason this isn't a 1-star review. My massage therapist (I think her name was Rivieriana or Gabriana - sorry, I can't remember exactly) was also fantastic. The actual massage was great, but even getting to that point involved more unnecessary waiting in the sun after already being registered. The final straw was trying to leave. All the taxis were waiting outside, but when I tried to ask where to go to get one back to the port, some employee in the parking lot literally pushed me and yelled that I had to wait in line with everyone else. I wasn't trying to cut - I just wanted to know where the line was! The whole situation was so chaotic and unprofessional that I had a panic attack. This is NOT how you treat paying customers, especially after they've just spent $260 on a cabana. The water is still absolutely beautiful - crystal clear and perfect temperature. The pools are nice, and the bathroom facilities were very clean. These are the basics that keep this from being a complete disaster. I paid $260 for our cabana experience, and it absolutely was not worth it. This place has changed so dramatically from the 5-star gem I fell in love with in 2015. Back then, the service was welcoming, the drinks were strong, the food came out quickly, and they were so much nicer to families with kids. I used to tell EVERYONE who asked about Cozumel to go to Mr. Sancho's. Now? I can't in good conscience recommend this place. It breaks my heart because I have such fond memories, but the quality has declined so much that I won't be returning. If you're looking for a beach day in Cozumel, maybe try somewhere else. Mr. Sancho's has lost what made it special, and until they address the overcrowding, staff training, and service issues, there are better ways to spend your cruise day and your money. Shoutout to Gaby though - you deserve better than this chaos, and I hope management recognizes what a gem they have in you!

Ok, but just pay the basic cost -extra $ doesn’t get you extra anything especially service! - Purchased the “romantic package” it was not romantic! Our server Diego came at the beginning and the end. His assistant Berio(sp?) was constantly around helping other patrons but seemed reluctant to serve us what we asked for, he would suggest alternatives and even after we adamantly refused he would bring us his option, then act confused or annoyed when we nicely requested our original selections. The cocktails were weak and tasted horrible. We aren’t beer drinkers but opted to drink beer to avoid the mixed drinks. Our food was delivered undercooked. (My husband did order the whole fish and loved it before we left.) After being avoided and strangely overlooked. We went in search of service. The pool bartender Erik was friendly and served us quickly with a pleasant and fun attitude! Unfortunately , we did not use the cabana other than to store our belongings bc we chose to remain at the pool bar to receive service and to feel comfortable and welcome. We went to the other pool bar where Fredy was awesome also! The very best part of Mr Sanchos is the massages! Those ladies are phenomenal! Most definitely recommend them 💯! The cab fares were $20 per person each way, which is astronomical! We encountered some wonderful people and had an ok experience, but do not pay for anything more than the basic cost. It’s a waste of money.
