- Laguna Quilotoa - In the early morning, the journey begins south of the city along the Avenida de los Volcanes. This route is named for its scenic views of hills and volcanoes like Pasochoa, Corazón, Cotopaxi, and Ilinizas, weather permitting. The tour passes through Pujilí and continues to the indigenous community of Tigua, renowned for its Andean indigenous-themed crafts. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore an artisan workshop and admire these artistic creations. The journey proceeds to the Zumbahua Community, where a stop is made at the Toachi River viewpoint. The tour continues to the lagoon viewpoint, offering a stunning view of the entire crater of the extinct volcano and the large turquoise lagoon with shades of green and blue within Quilotoa. From this point, the guided walk begins, descending to the shores of this beautiful lagoon, where there is time to enjoy a boat or kayak ride on its waters (not included).
- Mirador Shalala - After the enjoyable activities, the return journey begins with an ascent to the starting point. Upon arrival, the guide will recommend and allocate time for lunch. After regaining energy, the tour proceeds to another entrance to the lagoon in the Shalalá community to visit its viewpoint, offering a different perspective and a final view of this mountain-embedded gem.
