- Complesso di Capo di Bove - Parco Archeologico dell’Appia Antica - Capo di Bove is an archaeological site on the Appian Way on the outskirts of Rome. It features several well-preserved mosaics, and the high-quality building materials used suggest a very elegant environment with typical rooms found in Roman thermal baths, such as a caldarium, tepidarium, and frigidarium. The site also includes a former farmhouse converted to host an internal exhibition containing photographs of the Appian Way from the first half of the 20th Century.
- Villa di Massenzio - One of the most stunning archaeological sites in the Roman countryside is located between the second and third mile on the Via Appia Antica. This is the site of the Villa belonging to Emperor Maxentius. The archaeological complex consists of three main structures: the palace, a circus, and a dynastic mausoleum. These buildings were constructed to harmonize with the natural contours of the area, avoiding the need for extensive excavation works.
- Parco Della Caffarella - The Caffarella Valley is a green oasis among Roman buildings, offering a captivating blend of archaeological and ecological wonders set in a picturesque rural landscape.
The green fields, ancient monuments, old farm buildings, woods, and ponds all merge into a cohesive complex that represents a truly attractive place to explore and relax, far from the urban hustle and bustle.

We’ve conceived an extraordinary journey that allows our clientele to dive headfirst into the local culture. Our guided exploration unfolds the underappreciated marvels of Italian art, cuisine, and nature along the untouched trails of the Regional Park of Appia Antica.
We initiate our voyage in the Caffarella Valley, an emerald jewel tucked away in the capital city. Our engagement encompasses in-depth tours of its historical landmarks, along with thorough interpretations of the park’s geological conformation and ecological attributes.
Subsequently, we venture onto the Appian Way, acquainting participants with notable remnants of antiquity such as the Circus of Maxentius ruins, and the archaeological excavation site at Capo di Bove.
As we meander back to our starting point, we take a pause at our selected, shady spot to savor a mouth-watering selection of wine, cheese, salami and other light bites, in line with the quintessential Italian picnic tradition.
