- We are sorry to inform you that this tour is NOT wheelchair accessible. Vatican Museums provide wheelchairs free of charge in the main lobby. You can easily pick one up after you enter, before starting your own independent visit. If you are looking for a guided tour with wheelchair access, we recommend booking our private tours so a guide can lead you through the alternate routes

- St. Peter’s Basilica is closed during the following times: Wednesdays: 8:00 AM-12:00 PM, December 24 and 31 During these times, the tour will visit other parts of the museums
- St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel close without notice on rare occasions; if this happens, your guide will take you to tour the Vatican Museums and/or the Sistine Chapel/St Peter’s Basilica/Raphael Rooms instead

When in Rome - Got to visit this place if in Rome, also worth getting the skip the queue to tickets. The architecture and splendour of the place was incredible

The snail in its shell - Dominique regaled us with her homemade cooking. Of his humor, kindness and spiritual exposition of the snail.
Catherine welcomed us, served us little care for us. Breakfast a happiness for the eyes and taste buds of homemade also. Down to the energy bar.
Single room but very good
A night of passing on our way as we love them.

Be ready for huge crowds... - Be ready for huge crowds even with bypassing lines. Also headsets are not the best quality. Our guide Marco was great and was helpful with navigating the different museums

Tour was not a relaxed... - Tour was not a relaxed experience. Understandably the attractions are extremely busy however we felt the guide rushed through the tour, this did not include a guided tour of St Peter's as advertised

Lost in Italian accent - We paid for an English tour guide who has a wonderful personality. Unfortunately his Italian accent made it nearly impossible to understand anything so we would have been better off renting audio instead.. My husband found the sound quality on the audio headset was poor and added to the difficulty of understanding our guide.

Water of 300+ - What a waste of $300+, changed our start time from 8:15 to a busier 12:15. Tour guide barely spoke English. Took our head sets before entering the chapel. And she was nowhere to be found on on the exit of the chapel. So we had to go through the line to see St Peter's Basilica

This should have been a wonderful experience. It certainly was not. - Vastly overpriced tour with a poorly delivered commentary. Guide had poor English and was not easy to hear or understand. She had hardly any eye contact and didn t interact with the group. She talked as she walked so it was very difficult to see what she was describing as she was always a few metres ahead- at least. She rarely stopped to speak to us as a group and had very tatty visuals, which we couldn t see unless we were at the very front of the group. She had no enthusiasm or personal insight into what we were going to see. This was a hugely expensive trip- my fifth with Viator in the last month- and it has left me very cross. This was a trip of a lifetime and it certainly wasn' t a patch on the Colosseum trip. It was also very difficult to book and I spent days trying to pay for the original booking which I had chosen. In the end I had to take this one- which was more expensive. But it has left a very bad impression on us.

Impossible to understand and boring guide at Vatican Museum - I booked a Vatican tour which was provided by Nicom Tours via Get Your Guide. The tour included the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. There was confusion on whether entry to St Peters Basilica would be included or not. The ticket said in one part that it would be, and in another part that it would not. It seems because our tour was later in the afternoon, it was too late for the Basilica - but this was not made clear in the booking. The tour started fine, until our guide (Olga, I believe her name was) started to speak. She appeared to be very knowledgable about each and every artefact in the museum. However her spoken English was diabolical and she was very difficult to understand. Whilst I am sure there were very interesting pieces in the museum, her boring delivery and hard-to-understand English made many of the group wish the tour would end quickly. In fact, several people just could not stand listening to the guide any longer and simply handed back the earpieces. It was an extremely disappointing and very expensive 2 hours. My conclusion is that Nicom tours do not vet their tour guides carefully and are just happy to let anyone do the job to facilitate their business case. In case you are reading this and consider me too critical, my reference point was listening to other English-speaking guides at the same place who were providing clear and much more interesting delivery. If you book through Get Your Guide, look very carefully at who the tour provider will be and avoid Nicom Tours. The only benefit we obtained in booking this tour was avoiding the queues. There will be much cheaper ways of doing this.
