Upon arrival at Te Puia, a local guide will lead visitors to witness bubbling mud, boiling water pools, and magnificent geysers. The Pōhutu geyser stands as the main highlight. Pōhutu is the largest geyser in the Southern Hemisphere, erupting once or twice every hour and reaching heights of up to 30 meters (100 ft). At Te Puia, visitors can also see New Zealand’s national iconic flightless bird, the Kiwi.
