As someone who thrives on the thrill of the ocean and the laid-back lifestyle of the Caribbean, I was naturally drawn to the Rum Making Masterclass at Galleon Beach. As a former professional surfer, I’ve had my fair share of post-surf rum tastings, but this was something else. The rums were as diverse as the waves I’ve ridden, each with its own unique character. A Memorable Farewell

As the class drew to a close, I found myself holding a bottle of my own creation, complete with a personalized label listing all the ingredients. It was a tangible reminder of the day’s adventure, a piece of the Caribbean to take home with me.

But the day wasn’t over yet. With time running short, I needed to make my way back to the cruise ship. Goodwin, one of the staff, kindly offered to drive me part of the way to the bus stop. His generosity was a testament to the warmth and hospitality of the islanders, a quality that never fails to make me feel at home.
