Arequipa - Canyon and Condors - Sangalle Oasis

San Juan de Chuccho - Be ready at your hotel in Arequipa by 03:00. Our tour guide will pick you up between 03:00 and 03:30 am. We will depart for the Colca Canyon, heading directly to Chivay for breakfast. Afterward, we will proceed to the Cruz del Condor to witness the majestic flight of the condors. Next, we will visit the town of Cabanaconde (Mirador de Pampa San Miguel) for a brief stop. Around 10:00 am, we will begin our 3 ½ hour trek into the depths of the Colca Canyon, following a zigzagging trail to the village of San Juan de Chuccho, where we will have lunch. In the afternoon, we will continue our 3-hour hike, visiting the villages of Cosñirhua and Malata, before reaching the beautiful oasis of Sangalle, also known as the Oasis. Here, you will have free time to enjoy the pools and the natural surroundings. Dinner and overnight stay will be in rustic, basic bungalows. This day includes 7 hours of trekking.

Oasis Sangalle - Cabanaconde - Chivay - Arequipa

Oasis Sangalle - We will begin our hike at 5 am to the town of Cabanaconde, which takes about 3 hours (ascent). Upon arrival in Cabanaconde, we will have breakfast. Our bus/van will then take us back to Chivay, with stops in the villages of Maca and various tourist viewpoints. We will also visit the hot springs, where you will have 30 to 40 minutes to enjoy the thermal baths, with water temperatures between 30-35 degrees Celsius. Afterward, we will have lunch in Chivay. Finally, we will return to Arequipa, arriving at approximately 18:00, with stops along the way to visit the National Park, Volcanoes viewpoint, and to see animals such as alpacas, birds, and vicuñas. This day includes 3 hours of trekking. Pick-Up Location: If you are staying in the downtown area, we will pick you up from your hotel. Drop-off: Arequipa city center.
