Setting Sail on a Sunlit Morning

As a professional surfer, I’ve spent countless hours riding the waves and exploring the best surf spots across Central America. But every now and then, I crave a different kind of ocean adventure. That’s what led me to the Costa Rica Catamaran tour in Santa Cruz. The idea of a private morning cruise along Costa Rica’s stunning coastline was too tempting to resist.

The morning sun was just beginning to warm the day as I boarded the sleek 40-ft catamaran at Playa Avellana Tamarindo. The crew greeted me with friendly smiles and a refreshing welcome drink, setting the tone for a laid-back morning on the water. The boat was immaculate, and having it all to myself made the experience feel even more exclusive. I brought along my favorite playlist, and the crew was more than happy to let me play it, creating a personal soundtrack for my ocean escape.

A Coastal Symphony

As we cruised along the coastline, the views were nothing short of breathtaking. Golden beaches, lush greenery, and hidden coves unfolded before my eyes, each more beautiful than the last. The water was calm, a perfect mirror reflecting the clear blue sky. It was a peaceful symphony of nature, and I was completely immersed in it.

The highlight of the morning was undoubtedly the unexpected appearance of dolphins, gracefully dancing alongside the catamaran. Their playful energy was infectious, and I couldn’t help but smile as I watched them leap through the waves. We soon anchored at a secluded spot for some snorkeling. The water was crystal clear, and even though I’m more at home on a surfboard than with a snorkel, the experience was easy and enjoyable. I was surrounded by a vibrant underwater world, teeming with colorful fish.

Savoring the Simple Pleasures

After our snorkeling adventure, it was time to relax on the deck with some light snacks and drinks. The crew served up fresh fruit, snacks, and mimosas, which were a delightful surprise. It wasn’t a gourmet feast, but it was exactly what I needed to refuel and continue soaking up the sun.

The rest of the morning was spent lounging on the spacious deck, enjoying the serenity of the open sea. There were no loud groups or pressure to participate in activities—just me, the crew, and the ocean. It was a super chill experience, and I returned to shore feeling completely relaxed and happy.
