We chose the South Gambia tour to get an impression of the "real" life in Gambia. That worked out well thanks to Jarry and San - Fine, reliable, friendly and informative.
It was a beautiful beach and the Tanji fish market was impressive. We ended with a visit to t Monkey forest and that was also nice to experience

Beautiful excursion - I was picked up at the hotel by a neat driver and ditto guide. In a safe 4x4 car we went to Tanji. A beautiful and impressive tour of this authentic fishing village.
Then on my way to Paradise Beach where I had a great time together with the female guide. A walk along the beach and lunch. This lunch is not included in the price. Totally fine. Prices in the hospitality industry are not high.
Great excursion!

The excursion is good, the beach was not suitable for swimming but it was good.
Visit, and Tanji market is super special, you may like it or not, but
It's very authentic.

Interesting tour with highlights & drawbacks - The tour was overall interesting, with both highlights and drawbacks.
Minus: The tour started with more than 40 minutes of delay due to poor organization and lack of communication, which was quite frustrating.
Plus: The museum was genuinely fascinating, and we especially enjoyed the pirogue boat tour. The guide who paddled for us was kind, knowledgeable, and made the experience very pleasant.
Minus: We expected to have time for lunch at Lamin Lodge since it’s also a restaurant, but instead we were rushed to the next stop even though we were hungry. Having breakfast at 7 a.m. and then no proper meal until after 4 p.m. felt a bit extreme — was it some kind of Ramadan training?
Despite these issues, we did see a lot, and it was a good overall experience for our first time in The Gambia.

One experience poorer - You are terrified. These people live among the garbage. But are you able to see through that mess - the beauty of life? Not me. I felt very sorry for them in the struggle for life.

Poor quality of taxi - Quality of taxi poor, with inside ceiling and side panels missing. They tried to combine 2 groups with different booking requests into the one taxi, but all objected and that was dropped. Not much commentary. Tanji Beach fish market was vibrant and the boats beautifully painted and Paradise Beach unspoilt and idyllic
