Full-day City Tour in Hanoi
Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum - After breakfast, a guide will pick up guests for a full-day exploration of Hanoi, the captivating capital of Vietnam. The tour begins at the iconic Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Ba Dinh Square, a revered site that houses the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh, the founding father of modern Vietnam. Note that the mausoleum is open from Tuesday to Thursday and on weekends, between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
Next, the tour will visit the Presidential Palace and Ho Chi Minh’s House on Stilts. Built in 1958 as a birthday gift for Ho Chi Minh, this modest wooden house reflects his simple and humble lifestyle.
A short walk away, the tour will stop at the One Pillar Pagoda, a remarkable structure resembling a lotus emerging from a pond. Originally built in 1049 by King Ly Thai Tong, inspired by a dream of the Goddess of Mercy, it was reconstructed in 1955 after being destroyed during the French withdrawal.
Temple of Literature & National University - The morning concludes at the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university and a nearly 1,000-year-old tribute to Confucian learning. Guests can stroll through the tranquil courtyards and learn about the country’s ancient educational traditions.
Vietnam Museum of Ethnology - After lunch, the tour heads to the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, which celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. The museum offers a fascinating mix of indoor galleries and outdoor exhibits, including life-sized traditional houses from different communities.
Journey from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay
Halong Bay - After a delightful breakfast at the hotel, guests will embark on a picturesque 3-hour drive through the farmlands of the Red River Delta, heading to Ha Long City.
Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994, Ha Long Bay is a true natural wonder of Vietnam. Located about 200 kilometers from Hanoi, this breathtaking destination is home to 1,600 limestone islands.
Upon arrival in Ha Long, guests will board a luxurious wooden sailing junk for an unforgettable cruise through the bay’s emerald waters and dramatic limestone karsts. Enjoy the awe-inspiring scenery of this iconic World Heritage Site while sailing. Indulge in a fresh seafood lunch onboard, then partake in activities like swimming or exploring the bay’s fascinating limestone caves.
As the day winds down, the junk will anchor near a peaceful island, offering a tranquil setting to watch the sunset. A sumptuous dinner will be served onboard, followed by an overnight stay on the junk, surrounded by the serenity of the bay.

City Tour in Luang Prabang
Luang Prabang - Start the day early with an optional chance to join the daily almsgiving ritual, a serene and deeply spiritual tradition unique to Laos. Observe or participate as saffron-robed monks silently collect alms from the locals—a practice that symbolizes humility and generosity. Afterward, visit a bustling local market before heading back to the hotel for breakfast.
The morning tour begins at Wat Visoun, home to the striking Thad Makmo stupa, whose rounded Sinhalese-style dome is a rare feature in Laos. Continue to Wat Aham, and then visit Wat Xieng Thong, the most photographed temple in Luang Prabang. Located at the tip of the peninsula, near the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Khan Rivers, this temple is a masterpiece of traditional Lao architecture. Conclude the morning with a visit to Wat Sene Souk Haram, the “Temple of 100,000 Treasures,” distinguished by its deep ochre walls and glittering gold embellishments.
Luang Prabang - In the afternoon, explore the former Royal Palace, now the National Museum, to get a glimpse into Laos’ royal history. Then, visit Wat Mai, famed for its intricate golden bas-reliefs. During Pimai, the Lao New Year, this temple becomes the temporary home for the Prabang, Laos’ most sacred Buddha image, traditionally housed in the Royal Palace Museum.
The evening is free to explore the vibrant Luang Prabang Night Market. Browse through colorful stalls offering handcrafted goods, textiles, and local delicacies, soaking in the lively atmosphere.
Excursion to Pak Ou Caves and Kuang Si Waterfall
Pak Ou Caves - Start the day with a transfer to the pier, where guests will board a traditional long-tail boat for a serene cruise upstream along the mighty Mekong River. As they glide through stunning mountain scenery, they will witness the peaceful rhythm of rural life along the riverbanks.
The journey takes guests to Pak Ou Caves, located at the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Ou Rivers. These sacred caves house hundreds of centuries-old Buddha statues, making them a significant pilgrimage site, especially during Lao New Year festivities in mid-April. After exploring the caves, cruise back to Luang Prabang with a stop at Ban Xangkhong, a traditional weaving village. Here, guests will have the chance to try their hand at weaving alongside skilled local artisans.
Kuang Si Falls - In the afternoon, take a scenic drive through lush green rice paddies and farms to the enchanting Kuang Si Waterfalls. Upon arrival, enjoy a short walk along the falls’ trails and visit the nearby Bear Rescue Center, home to rescued Asiatic black bears. Explore the park’s vibrant orchids and admire the breathtaking multi-tiered waterfalls that cascade down into cool turquoise pools, perfect for a refreshing dip.
