- Munxar Path - Next, the tour proceeds to St. Thomas Bay in Marsascala to take the Munxar Path. Along the way, there is an opportunity to explore a small arch in the rocks, pass through stunning cliffs, and enjoy the refreshing sea breeze!
The journey continues to the vicinity of the Xrobb l-Ghagin Hostel, where a descent down a flight of stairs leads to the rocky salt pans and the Xrobb l-Ghagin rocky beach.
- St. Peter’s Pool - The following stop is the popular beach of St Peter’s Pool, located just a few meters from Xrobb l-Ghagin. St Peter’s Pool boasts deep blue waters and natural limestone formations. Enthusiastic swimmers on the tour can enjoy a refreshing dip in the clear waters.
- Marsaxlokk - The tour then heads to Marsaxlokk village for lunch. Marsaxlokk is definitely worth visiting, with its excellent selection of fresh restaurants, colorful fishing boats, and open stalls showcasing traditional Maltese crafts and traditions.
- Xarolla Windmill - The next attraction is the Xarolla Windmill in Zurrieq. Built in the 18th century, this windmill remains in good working order and is well-preserved. During a brief photo stop, visitors can explore the Windmill, the nearby chapel, and the surrounding catacombs from the outside.
- Blue Grotto (Il-Hnejja) - After a short drive, the tour visits the Blue Grotto on the outskirts of Zurrieq. If sea conditions permit, a 20-minute boat trip to the Blue Grotto is highly recommended!
- Hagar Qim Temples - The final stop is at the archaeological site of the Hagar Qim and Mnajdra Temples, located just a few meters from the Blue Grotto. Both sites are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. A visit to the visitor center reveals the rich Maltese prehistory that these sites have preserved.
A memorable day on this tour concludes with spectacular shots of the sunset from this archaeological site, providing an unforgettable keepsake of the experience.

Beyond expectations - Cynthia was a fantastic guide. She gave a great history of the areas we visited and tailored the itinerary based on our interests, in many cases showing us spots that weren’t heavily visited by tourists. We spent a perfect amount of time at each location. I especially appreciate Cynthia’s extra attention to ensure my elderly mother was picked up and dropped off as close to each location as possible. We saw way more than expected and highly recommend Cynthia as a guide!

A very successful tour - A very nice tour to visit two very nice highlights in Malta. Both the market in Marsaxlokk and the visit to the Blue Grotto were very nice. The final walk through Qrendi was also very interesting. Of course, everything on a tour like this depends on the guide. We were very lucky with Imke. She explained a lot without being pushy. A tour that can only be recommended.

My Malta experience - First visit to Malta, visited Blue Grotto, amazing caves, then Marsaxlokk for the beautiful colored fishing boats and the Sunday Market. Will certainly be visiting Malta again for the history.

Take this tour! So Worth it!! - Cynthia and George were fantastic!! So friendly and accommodating. They graciously tailored their tour to our requests and managed to get in every site we asked to visit and even through in a few of their local gems as well. Had a lovely day exploring the main archeological sites plus the Blue Grotto, Marsaxlokk, St Peter's Pool, and even did a little swimming ourselves. Highly recommend a private day with this couple!
