The resulting castle is easily one of the most stunning in all of Europe.The first couple to live there, King Carol I and his wife Queen Elizabeth of Romania were known to be very different in temperament and interests. The king was an accomplished soldier who greatly expanded and improved the Romanian military, and the queen was more artistic, with a great fondness for music, art, and literature, and even published poetry under the pen name Carmen Sylva. Peleș, too, was a reflection of these two different personalities. Important !! Peles Castle is closed on Mondays the visit is without inside tour - Bran Castle (Dracula’s Castle) - The fame of the castle taken abroad is due largely to Bram Stoker, author of the famous novel “Dracula” – the story of the vampire-count that never ceases to fascinate. The connection between the character in the novel and Prince Vlad the Impaler – Dracula is even suggested by the author who wrote somewhere in the book “… was it really that prince Dracula who opposed the Turks over the great river, even from the border with Turkey.“ Although the history disproves that Vlad Tepes, ruler with vampire traits ever lived in Bran Castle, the blood – hungry count’s story is so popular and widespread that it almost no one is interested in the truth. Dracula’s legend is one thing, the story of Vlad Tepes is something different, but this “confusion” put the small town and the castle on the map of international tourism and brings important financial benefits to the area. - Brasov - Visit beautiful city of Brasov

Great experience and exceptional guide! - The visit to Bran and Peles castles was excellent. Radu our tour guide was outstanding. He worked with me in advance to customize the tour to meet our need for a shortened timeframe and we still had time for a pleasant lunch at an outdoor café at Peles castle. I highly recommend this tour and that you request Radu as a tour guide.

Peles Bran (Dracula) castles - Radu took myself and two coworkers to see Peles. Bran (Dracula) castles and Brasov. Private car with hotel pickup/dropoff and personal tour guide. So much better than being on a tour bus.

Excellent experience! - Radu was our tour guide. He was brilliant! Very professional and friendly. This trip was amazing and well worth the cost. What a fun experience seeing the castles and beautiful forest landscape.

Radu's private Castles and Brasov Romanian day tour was wonderful. - Radu was an excellent driver and guide. He explained sights and interests as we drove along and nothing was too much trouble. He navigated the parking chaos at Peles & Dracula castles, and at Brasov where he took us to a very nice Romanian restaurant for lunch where he ordered some traditional Romanian food for us.
He also took us to the monastery nearby Peles Castle which gave us another highlight to remember.
We would highly recommend Radu as a guide and as a driver. This private tour was well worth the money and even the 7am start from Bucharest as this allowed us to enter Peles Castle in the first small group. So, many thanks Radu for a wonderful day. A and R from Australia.

"Enter freely and of your own free will" Bran Stoker Dracula - We booked a private tour, and it turned out to be the best decision we made.
Bran Castle was everything we hoped it would be—mysterious, iconic, and full of legends. Our guide Radu brought the Dracula lore to life.
Peleș Castle was an unexpected gem. The architecture and interior are breathtaking—easily one of the most beautiful castles we've seen in Europe.

Amazing Experience- Bran Castle and Peles Castle - We booked a private tour, and the entire trip was incredible—both amazing and historically informative, thanks to our wonderful guide, Radu, who provided excellent explanations. Everything was well-organized, and the travel experience was comfortable. We had plenty of time at each site to explore the fascinating castles and the charming town of Bravos. Radu recommendations for local foods and places to try them were spot on. Thank you for making it such a wonderful experience!

Start early with Radu!! - Radu was amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Great tip to start early and avoid the crowds. He made the trip very enjoyable and gave us as many rest stops as we needed. He took as to a very delicious restaurant for lunch. His car was very comfortable and clean. We would highly recommend him for any trip you are considering! We hope to be back soon! Thanks for making our last day in Romania the best!!!

Excellent your! - Excellent tour and Radu was an excellent guide! At your own pace and a relaxed tour, so much nicer than the rushed “cattle” feeling of a tour bus. Comfortable clean car and just a relaxed and nice day. Well worth it! I do suggest leaving Burcharest as early as possible, left at 7AM and avoided the bus crowds which was so nice.

Amazing and worth it! - Trip was great and really good guide, Radu was very well informed and had great details to share on the places visited. Was at your own pace and agenda, a true custom tour! Do suggest starting as early as possible to avoid the masses of tour buses. Car was comfortable and clean as well.
