Once traversed by dinosaurs, this area is now lovingly inhabited by the Jalqa community. The adventure begins at 8:30 AM, with tourists being picked up from their hotels. A one-hour journey leads to the colonial chapel of Chataquilla, marking the start of a two-hour trek along the Inca trail. At the trail’s end, a vehicle is ready to transport visitors to the Maragua Crater, where a delightful vegetarian lunch is served, followed by a visit to the rock formation known as La Garganta del Diablo, lasting 30 minutes. In the afternoon, the tour includes a two-hour exploration of dinosaur footprints before returning to the city of Sucre. If a weaver is available, there is an opportunity to learn about the Jalqa culture’s weaving art from her.
