Great class to do with family or friends! - What a fantastic experience! My son and I absolutely loved Fujino-sensei’s Ohara-style flower arranging class. We learned the basics of this elegant Japanese art, then chose our own flowers to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind arrangements. Fujino-sensei was warm and patient, and Kennedy’s excellent English translation made everything easy to follow. It was relaxing, creative, and a wonderful way to connect with Japanese culture. We left with lovely arrangements and unforgettable memories. I highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Japan!

Ikebana lesson in Yanesen - A fantastic experience. Firstly Fuji sensei delivered a history lesson and demonstration of the style and artistic elements of ikebana. We had a quick shop at the local flower shop and then Fuji sensei guided me in producing my first ikebana arrangement. Watanabe san interpreted when required. Conducted in a beautiful space, a 5 star afternoon.

Enjoyable ikebana introduction - We really enjoyed this class. It was helpful to have someone translating what Fuji the teacher was saying. After telling us the rules we went and picked our flowers from the local florist and then made our arrangements. The district around the studio is also a great place to explore.

This was a lovely... - This was a lovely experience. Very peaceful and focused with just my partner and I and the instructors. The teaching space is above a cut cafe in a lovely area of town that's great to walk about in before and after. They give you some history of Ikebana before diving into hands on learning. The instructors were very kind and personable. Highly recommended!

Great experience! - We had a lovely time. Great neighborhood. Went for lunch before. Easy to find. Hosts were wonderful women. The Ikebana instructor was very knowledgeable and informative without stopping creativity. The translator was also very warm and kind. My husband and I are creative types and like authentic experiences when traveling. This checked all the boxes. Make this part of your Tokyo experience.

Highlight of our trip! - Such an amazing time! We learned a lot and met great people — our instructor & our translator were so fun and charming, they made this an experience we will never forget. I loved getting to meet the flower-shop owner too, picking our flowers, and making such unique arrangements. I was so taken with the whole thing, I bought a kenzan to keep making arrangements at home!

Fantastic Evening with an Ikebana Master - We had the best time — a highlight of the trip so far — learning about ikebana, meeting the local flower shop owner, & choosing our flowers with our guides’ expert insight. Then we got to make our arrangements, putting to use all we’d learned so far. And what was wild was how different our two arrangements are, yet how perfectly they reflected our personalities — all while following the rules of this ancient, soothing, stunning art. I highly recommend this experience! It was 100% a great time.
