Tarangire National Park - Begin your journey with a pick-up from your location, followed by a 3-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, where you will enjoy a full day of game viewing. After exploring the park, proceed to Marera View Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Tarangire National Park is situated 115 km from Arusha and spans an area of 2,800 square kilometers. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which attracts a variety of wildlife. Key attractions include a large population of elephants, tree-climbing pythons, and majestic baobab trees. Visitors can also spot lions, leopards, and other wildlife.
Ngorongoro Crater Full Day
Ngorongoro Crater - Start your day at 6:30 am with breakfast, then head to the Ngorongoro Crater floor to witness the “Big Five” and a variety of bird species, including the black rhino. Enjoy lunch within the crater while observing the natural beauty and the high concentration of flamingos. Spend the entire day exploring the Ngorongoro Crater, renowned as the largest inactive and intact volcanic caldera globally. Formed by a massive explosion and collapse 2 to 3 million years ago, the Crater was recognized as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa in 2015. Afterward, travel to Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Lake Eyasi – Cultural Interaction
Lake Eyasi - After breakfast, journey along the rugged road to Lake Eyasi, another soda lake in the Rift Valley. Arrive in the afternoon for a cultural experience with the Tatoga tribe, guided by a local Tatoga guide. Explore the dry and rugged landscape on foot, home to a small group of bushmen: the Hadzabe or Watindiga. These tribes continue to live traditionally, hunting with bows and arrows and gathering roots, tubers, and wild fruits, much like humans did 10,000 years ago. Another fascinating tribe in the area is the Datoga (also known as the Barabaig or Mang’ati), who historically competed with the Maasai for grazing land. In the evening, return to Arusha for an overnight stay.
