ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE
Tarangire National Park - Following breakfast, the journey will commence to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its varied landscape. This park is especially famous for its numerous Ancient Baobab trees and boasts the largest concentration of elephants in the country, offering unique opportunities to observe elephant family interactions. A game drive will be conducted through the park, focusing on areas with reported animal sightings, particularly predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, which are more elusive. Herbivores such as giraffes, wildebeests, and zebras are abundant throughout the park. Later, a visit to the Tarangire River picnic site will provide a beautiful view of the river and wildlife while enjoying lunch. Although small monkeys and baboons may attempt to snatch your lunch, there is no need for concern. After lunch, the game drive will continue, with an exit from the park scheduled around 4:30 pm.
MTO WA MBU TO SERENGETI
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, the drive from Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti will take approximately 6 hours, including all stops, as it passes through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Stop at: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Arusha Region
A brief stop at the gate and viewpoint will allow for a breathtaking view of the crater.
Duration: 20 minutes
Serengeti National Park
Arrival is expected in the late afternoon, followed by a game drive in Seronera (the center of Serengeti) until late evening, offering the chance to experience a Serengeti sunset and observe wildlife, possibly witnessing a predator hunting or feeding. The day will conclude at the Seronera campsite. Note: Animals, particularly hyenas, can be observed from the camp, with active ranger protection ensuring safety.
SERENGETI
Serengeti National Park - This day will be dedicated to exploring the broader areas of the Serengeti, including the south, east, or west, depending on wildlife movements. After an early breakfast, an early game drive will commence, followed by lunch and continued exploration until evening, before returning to the campsite for dinner and an overnight stay. Note: Animals may be spotted at campsites.
Serengeti then Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Seronera, Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, an early game drive will take place, allowing for extensive wildlife viewing until the afternoon. The journey will then proceed to the camp for lunch and packing, with a game drive en route as the group exits the Serengeti, heading to Simba campsite (a 2-hour drive) near the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. Note: Animals may be spotted at campsites.
Ngorongoro Crater then Arusha
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After an early breakfast, the descent into the crater will begin at 6:15 am, with the goal of spotting the elusive black rhino. Rhinos are among the most challenging animals to find in this stunning crater, while other animals are more easily observed due to the crater’s floor layout. Following lunch, a game drive will take place, after which the group will ascend the crater, return to camp, and prepare for the journey back to Arusha.
Materuni Waterfalls, Coffee Tour & Hot Springs
Materuni Waterfalls - The visit to the waterfalls involves a 40-minute walk, during which the guide will share insights about the Chagga culture, village life, and the surrounding flora and fauna. The views are truly breathtaking, and with some luck, the summit of Kilimanjaro may be visible. Upon reaching the waterfalls, which are over 80 meters high, the pool at the base offers a refreshing swimming opportunity, so swimwear is recommended!
Kikuletwa Hot Springs
Following the coffee tour in Materuni, the journey continues to the Kikuletwa Hot Springs. The drive to the hot springs takes about an hour and 20 minutes, partly over bumpy terrain.
Enjoy a delightful afternoon as desired, whether sunbathing, chatting with locals at the small bar, or swimming - the choice is yours.
