Upon arrival, registration will be completed, and the climb will commence. The path to the Mandara huts leads through a lush rainforest. A worthwhile detour is a visit to Maundi Crater, offering views of northern Tanzania and Kenya. Keep an eye out for Colobus monkeys, towering trees, and diverse bird species in the rainforest.

Hike from Mandara Hut towards Horombo, then down to the park gate and return to Arusha/Moshi.
Mount Kilimanjaro - The trail continues over open moorlands towards the Horombo huts, leaving the rainforest glades behind. Spectacular views of Kibo and Mawenzi can be enjoyed. Look out for giant groundsels and lobelia. After reaching Mandara, the descent to the park gate begins, followed by a three-hour drive back to Arusha.
