Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - With a packed lunch, the journey from Arusha begins with a two-hour drive through the Maasai steppe to Tarangire National Park. Upon entering the park, visitors are welcomed by a landscape adorned with majestic baobabs emerging from the acacia parkland, creating a stunning backdrop for the large herds of African elephants roaming among them. Other mammals inhabiting this area include lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, black-backed jackals, Kirk’s dik-diks, dwarf and banded mongoose, impalas, Beisa oryxes, steinboks, and African hares. Expect to see buffalos, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and waterbucks. Bird enthusiasts may spot the Maasai ostrich, white-headed vulture, African scops owl, and the endemic ashy starling. Lunch will be enjoyed in the park. Later in the afternoon, the journey continues to Kizumba Campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.
Tarangire National Park – Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, the drive to Central Serengeti National Park begins, leading to an afternoon game drive. This area opens onto the Serenora Valley, a lively wildlife region at the heart of the Serengeti, renowned for its resident animal population. Visitors can expect to see wildebeests, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes, numerous birds, and other species. Dinner and an overnight stay are arranged at Seronera Campsite.
Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - Following breakfast at the camp, a full day of game drives around Central Serengeti awaits. The Serengeti offers some of the most thrilling wildlife viewing in Africa: large herds of buffalos, smaller groups of elephants and giraffes, and countless elands, topis, kongonis, impalas, and Grant’s gazelles.
The drama of predators versus prey is a highlight of Tanzania’s premier park. Golden-maned lion prides feast on the abundance of plain grazers. Solitary leopards lurk in the acacia trees lining the Seronera River, while high densities of cheetahs roam the southeastern plains. Uniquely, all three African jackal species are found here, alongside the spotted hyena and a variety of more elusive small predators, from the insectivorous aardwolf to the elegant serval cat. All meals and accommodation are provided at Seronera Campsite.
Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Highlands
Serengeti National Park - An early wake-up is recommended for an early morning game drive when the animals are most active, offering one of the most breathtaking sunrises imaginable. After the game drive, a rewarding brunch is served at the camp before proceeding to Ngorongoro, the 8th Wonder of the Natural World. The crater spans 102 square miles with 2,000-foot-high walls, resembling a natural Noah’s ark, home to nearly every species of wildlife native to East Africa. It is one of the few places on the continent where the black rhino can be seen. The concentration of African wildlife is unparalleled. The crater features a river, several swamps, a soda lake with a high concentration of flamingos, a forest, and open plains. It is also renowned for its elephants, the largest in the world with enormous tusks, attributed to the rich mineral content of the volcanic soil and grasses.
Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
Ngorongoro Crater - The day begins early with a descent into the crater floor for an extraordinary morning of wildlife viewing in one of the most breathtaking locations on earth. Following the game drive, a picnic lunch is enjoyed near the picturesque Hippo Lake. After lunch, there is time for a brief game drive before ascending the crater and exiting the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards Arusha. The return to Arusha is expected around 5 pm, with flexibility for flight schedules or other circumstances.
