Tarangire to Serengeti

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, continue towards the fertile highlands where the Iraqw people cultivate wheat, coffee, and corn. As you pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, formed by a volcanic explosion three million years ago, you will witness the stunning expanse of the Ngorongoro Caldera before proceeding to Serengeti National Park. Known as ‘Endless Plain’ in the Maasai language, you will arrive by late evening. Serengeti National Park is the largest in Tanzania, featuring diverse landscapes and habitats such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah, and mountains. It hosts the largest wildebeest and zebra migration, and depending on the season, you may witness thousands of animals in search of food and water. After an extensive game drive, head to Seronera Campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After an early coffee, set out for a game drive in the Serengeti, where you might spot the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard – before traveling to the Ngorongoro Crater. The animals roam freely through the unfenced reserves, offering an uninterrupted game viewing experience. Upon reaching the crater’s edge, you will catch your first glimpse of the wonders awaiting you the next day – sparkling streams, open grasslands, and countless animals. Within minutes, you can see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and some of the more than 500 bird species in the area. With a bit of luck, you might spot the endangered black rhino through the grass.
