One of my favorite things I’ve done - I travel quite a bit and do a lot of activities on my trips and this was easily one of my top 5 favorite things I’ve ever done. Easy pickup and transportation to the kennels. They give you a snowsuit and boots to use and also have waterproof mittens if you need them. You don’t need to bundle up more than a normal day. First, you get to meet and pet some of the dogs before you go on the sled and they even see you off by howling as you leave. Then you get to your sled. I went solo and was paired up with another solo traveler. One driver and one passenger. The driver has to pay attention to the dogs, the trail and distance between sleds so they can’t take pics. Good thing is, you get multiple stops to change drivers. It’s pretty exhilarating driving a sled pulled by 6 dogs and the dogs just want to run. When we have to stop, they howl until they get to run again. After the 10-11km tour, we get to have coffee/tea/hot cocoa and cake in a heated tent and talk about the dogs and they answer your questions, if you have any. Then you get to see the puppies!

Great family experience! - A highlight of our time in Norway. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The dogs are social and clearly happy and well cared for. They were so joyful to pull the sled! We enjoyed it (adult/teen family). Short drive from Tromsø and beautiful views.

These Dogs Are Excited! - Extremely fun experience to do in Tromso! The dogs are all very friendly and excited and just want to run and pull you along. The owners will provide snowsuits and detailed instructions so it is easy to pick up as well as give you cake and hot chocolate after which is extremely delicious.

Husky sledding through a magical winter wonderland - Excellent from start to finish. A comfortable minivan ride to get there, greeted by our friendly host who handed out our clothing gear then it was time to make friends with these gorgeous dogs. After much patting and cuddles, we jumped on our sleds, and the dogs were so excited to begin. My husband and I shared a sled pulled by 6 husky, and we swapped turns as driver and passenger over the hour ride. The sledding was magical as we passed over thick snow-covered wilderness, passing by the gorgeous lake and eventually back to base where we were served hot drinks and the most delicious carrot cake I have ever tasted. We even got to see a litter of puppies

Highlight of our time in Tromso! - This tour was hands down the best part of my trip to Tromso. It was well organized and the guides were informative and friendly. We were able to pet/stay with the dogs before and after the sledding experience. I was nervous about driving the sled, but it was easy and fun! The dogs are so strong and fast- such good pups!

Great fun but a little rushed - Very fun, and we loved just being around the dogs. We were out for a good hour or so, which felt just right. The thermal suits, boots, mittens and balaclavas were very good and clean. It wasn't technically difficult to drive the dog sled but one has to stay on one's toes. If you lose grip or miss your footing, it's easy to fall off and be left behind. Only complaint is that the whole thing felt quite rushed. They clearly pack in many groups back to back. I wish we had more time to linger, hang out with the dogs and ask more questions. Also as a result of the rush, I had a faulty pair of goggles that I didn't get to test or swap out beforehand. They kept fogging up during the ride which was pretty dangerous when driving, and it was hard to fully enjoy the experience when I just couldn't see.
