Great experience - I did the 4 hour pagoda tour with Hung and Hieu. It covered a lot of areas; meditation, teaching, theory, walking meditation, qi gong and breathing and much more. Hieu also did some practical card games to describe karma. I really enjoyed it and learnt a lot. We finished with lunch at a nearby vegetarian restaurant. I would highly recommend this tour for an introduction to Buddhist concepts with some passionate hosts. Mitch

A Truly Enlightening Experience – Highly Recommended! - I had the pleasure of attending a half-day mindfulness and Buddhism lesson, and it was an incredible experience. The session was well-structured, blending theory with practical meditation exercises that were both calming and insightful. The instructor was knowledgeable, patient, and created a welcoming atmosphere where everyone, regardless of prior experience, could fully engage. One of the highlights was learning simple yet powerful mindfulness techniques that I can incorporate into my daily life. The discussion on Buddhist philosophy was thought-provoking and delivered in a way that was easy to understand, even for beginners. The setting was serene, adding to the overall sense of peace and reflection. Whether you’re new to mindfulness or looking to deepen your practice, I highly recommend this experience. It’s a perfect way to slow down, reset, and gain valuable insights into mindfulness and Buddhist teachings.

A beautiful learning experience - I have read a lot about Buddhism and kept my own personal meditation practice for some years, so I came hoping to learn more and deepen my practice. Happy to say this retreat did not disappoint - Hung is a clear and informative teacher, with lots of information and practices unique to Vietnamese Mahayana Buddhism. Highly recommend!

Wonderful day with buddhas teachings and meditations - This was such an inspiring and beautiful day - I learned so much about Buddhism and about the „real meditating“ that will help me back home in stressful times. If you want to wind down from the busy city, go to this wonderful place of calmness and insights :)

Hieu and Ngọc - Buddhist retreat - Hieu and Ngọc were very happy to answer any questions we had about Buddhism and their community. They are very knowledgeable and wise and planned a very fun and rewarding day for our group. The group size was perfect, and we went for a fun vegetarian meal after releasing some fish into the West Lake. The community welcomed us warmly, and we joined in singing extra songs and were invited back for their festival. One of my best experiences on my travels so far—I would highly recommend it.

Great to learn about Buddhism - Hung, Jane and all the guides and monks were very friendly and sweet. We could sense their dedication and passion for sharing their learnings. It was also great to learn about the culture around the temple. Our favourite activity was the Q&A with the monk, who had taken time to reflect on our pre-shared questions. Whilst it was a really interesting cultural experience we would say it was a bit different to what we expected as it was more focused on the religious aspects of Buddhism instead of the more practical sides of mindfulness.
