Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - This two-day tour begins and concludes in Kigali, which is a shorter drive to Bwindi National Park compared to Kampala. On the first day, travelers will journey from Kigali to Uganda via the Cyanika or Gatuna Border, then embark on gorilla tracking on the second day, returning to Kigali the same day after the Gorilla Trekking experience. Bwindi Park is a biodiverse, mountainous region in southwest Uganda, home to the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, who thrive on roots, leaves, and fruits from the park’s diverse tree and fern species.

Gorilla Trekking and Transfer Back to Kigali

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Today marks the day you’ve eagerly anticipated. After an early breakfast, the driver guide will transport you to the starting point for a briefing on the upcoming gorilla trekking adventure. Experienced ranger guides and trackers from the Uganda Wildlife Authority will provide the briefing.

Gorilla tracking can be physically challenging, but the experience is truly remarkable and rewarding. Participants will track a habituated family that is accustomed to human presence. Upon encountering these magnificent gentle giant gorillas, you will have one hour to observe their interactions, vocalizations, and feeding habits.

Lunch will be enjoyed away from the gorillas in the forest, followed by a return to the park offices for a brief ceremony. Afterwards, you will be transported back to your hotel in Kigali or to the airport for your outbound flight. Accommodation for the night is not included but can be arranged at an additional cost.
