Arrive in Entebbe (early), pick up and head to Bwindi National Park.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - It is recommended that your flight arrives early (no later than 10:00 am) in Uganda. Your safari adventure begins at Entebbe International Airport, where a Professional Tour Driver-guide will greet you and set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi is a significant sanctuary for mountain gorillas in Uganda, home to over 300 gorillas, which is nearly half of the global gorilla population. The journey will take you southwest through Uganda, crossing the Equator, then to Mbarara City for lunch, and through the scenic hills of western Uganda into Bwindi. Upon arrival, you will check into your accommodation and relax, preparing for the exciting Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the following day.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - After breakfast, proceed to the rangers’ post for a briefing from a ranger-guide on the guidelines for trekking. You will then enter the Bwindi Forest for your adventure. The beauty of this rainforest is breathtaking! The area features a dramatic, steeply forested landscape that is incredibly dense, yet interwoven with numerous animal trails for tourist access. The duration and terrain of the trek vary depending on the movements of these magnificent primates. Once a gorilla group is located, you will have the privilege of spending an hour in their presence. The experience of observing these gentle yet endangered giants is truly unforgettable. Return to your accommodation, check out, and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is surrounded by lush, green-terraced hills reaching heights of 2,200 – 2,478 meters, but it is the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that create its enchanting allure — a sight to admire all day.

Depart Lake Bunyonyi and return to Entebbe Airport for your flight.

Uganda Equator - Enjoy a leisurely breakfast with a stunning view of the small islands of Bunyonyi right before you. Afterwards, embark on the journey back to Entebbe, arriving in the late afternoon or evening, in time for your outbound flight (recommended for 18:00 hrs or later).
