Bus Tour in Athens and a Gorgeous Sunset at Sounion - Great way to see Athens in one day! The hop-on hop-off bus made exploring the city easy, and the Cape Sounion sunset was simply breathtaking. Everything was well organised and the timing worked perfectly. Highly recommend this combo tour

Adventures in Athens - This was a great option for getting around and acclimating to the Athens area especially being a first time visitor. The staff at main stop locations were extremely friendly and helpful. I was at the wrong stop (the new Parliament) for the Cape Sounion tour with 10 minutes to go until the tour was due to depart when the guide there ran with me to the correct location to ensure I didn’t miss the trip. I sadly did not get the young man’s name. I would love to let his supervisor know so he can be recognized for going above and beyond to help me. I would have missed out an amazing experience had it not been for this young man.

Beautiful coastal drive - Our guide Georges and driver Thanos did a great job. Ticket checking needs to be more efficient so as not to keep customers standing in the very hot afternoon sun please..... a coding system perhaps? In depth explanation of the significance of sights and the accompanying mythology given without feeling like a lecture.....A long drive but plenty of free time to explore the Temple of Poseidon. Large modern restaurant with great views. Overpriced and very slow service. The food was delicious. The wait staff did a fantastic job and worked extremely hard with a full venue of around 200 people. The head waiter, who took the orders, needs to go to charm school for some lessons in hospitality. Rude to the point of belligerence. Only 3 toilets provided for women and not one of them with a hook on the door to hang your bag so you don't have to put it on a urine coated floor...... NEEDS MORE TOILETS. Apart from that it was a great evening out and rated the 4 stars given.

Not worth the journey time form Athens - It’s a long drive out there and I’m not 100% sure it’s worth it. All the staff were incredible lovely. Good driver, getting on the coach had a lovely women at the stop helping to greet and organize, the tour guide was absolutely lovely. However 2 hours there and 2.5 hours back for two hours on site wasn’t worth it. The cost is 20 euros/pp to get in was more expensive than I thought. We got some food to eat as we were hungry so that was personal choice and another cost. The sunset it’s lovely. The temple is great. Nice pictures. However I wouldn’t bother to recommend the journey out for only that.

Cape Sounion Challenges - The stop was lovely. Be aware, it costs 20 Euros each to get into the site where you can actually see the sunset. The bus driver blared rock station music over the loudspeakers the entire time we were on the bus. He only turned it down when passengers asked him to, but did not turn it off. This interfered with trying to listen to the Vox. There was only one Vox for every 2 people so we had to share them. Between the loud music and only having one earpiece neither I nor my husband could hear the narration. On the way back, there was a bomb scare (it was an actual real bomb) so streets were closing everywhere. The bus driver had to let us off at the first stop (we got on at the third). To his credit and I do mean credit - our tour guide, Vasilis Thanos, got us safely back to the subway station near our hotel. He was wonderful and went out of his way to do so. He also did as good of a job as possible with the lack of Vox boxes and the blaring music from the driver.

Long wait times for buses - We had to wait more than 45 minutes to board a bus at Athens Cruise Terminal B to go to the Acropolis. There was evidently a motorway traffic accident which held up the buses. Information the map we were given was confusing, with some listed times to return to the port in the afternoon and saying that these buses leave every half hour. We thought we'd go back a bit early to ensure that we were back in time. Arriving back at the bus stop, we had to join a cue of over 100 people to get a bus back to the port. Again, we had to wait for a long time to board a bus. There were a few cruise ships in the port & assuming that all of these people had caught a coach into the city, the company seemed unprepared to have enough buses to transport these people back. So, a disappointing first time for us using the blue buses. I'll be trying a different company in the next port

Pointless - 1 out of 100 absolutely shocking. You have to wait and change so many times to get to the lakes and when you get there they drop you in the middle of nowhere so n a busy main road with no path one side

Disappointing and not to be missed - Disappointing. Delay on the way and back, dirty and out-of-age bus, but especially audio guides in insufficient numbers and especially unusable because the same info started again endlessly. Problems were mentioned but no significant improvement. The site of Sounion is pleasant but the visit of the archaeological site is not included. Tourist trap to avoid
