James 3:17: “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy” - Red Sand Dune - Al Ramal - The Red Sand Dune, also called Al Ramal or Al Hasany in Arabic, is one of the most iconic dunes in the Wadi Rum desert. Its striking red hue is due to a high concentration of iron oxide in the sand particles. Though challenging to climb, the top offers breathtaking panoramic views of the valley. This area is also a notable filming location.
- Wadi Rum - Discover Nabatean inscriptions on the rocks of the Wadi Rum desert. The Nabateans were an Arab nomadic tribe that settled in Jordan and parts of Syria, Saudi Arabia, and Israel (fourth century BC – 106 AD). They were renowned for their expertise as water engineers and traders, using rock-engraved maps to navigate the area for centuries.
- Lawrence’s House - Lawrence’s House is built on the Nabataean ruins of a water cistern. Legend has it that Lawrence stayed here during the Arab Revolt.
- Wadi Rum - The Um Fruth Rock Bridge is one of Wadi Rum’s most famous landmarks: a natural arch sculpted by wind and water over millennia, standing 15 meters high and resembling an elevated walkway.
