Mount Vernon - The tour guide was helpful and knowledgeable. His instructions and practical information were clear and accurate. The downside of this tour (or any tour of Mount Vernon) was that the mansion tour was rushed, the groups were too large, and the docents were often inaudible. But there is no other way to see the mansion. There was not enough time to see all of the outbuildings. We plan to come back on our own to complete the visits to yhe outbuildings.

Too many people this weekend. - This driver never introduced himself. The were 80 people on the tour. Group of 4 and 3 groups of 2. He promised to drop each group back at their respective hotels. The tickets to see the home was at 2:20. We arrived at 12:40. Our group should have had priority tickets so we would have time to see the grounds. The facility has a historic Revolutionary war encampment in progress which created a mess. There were hundreds more people there than expected. We were 10 minutes late getting back to the shuttle because the line to see the residence takes at least 40-60 minutes. When we returned to the van the driver said he was returning us to our pickup point because he had sometimhing else to do. We were with 4 blocks of our hotel when he got off the bridge and refused to stop. His driving was horrible. On the return trip myself and a lady in the back of the van bounced up twice from horrible road runs. I hit my tailbone on a broken seat and she hit her head on the ceiling. I heard the Crack from her head bouncing. The driver said oh that's our local roller coaster and laughed. Not funny This guy needs to be let go.
