A great value, must do experience! - We did the Bear Tour zip line and it was amazing! This was a bucket list experience for me. I hate heights and was extremely anxious but both Lucy and Jake did their best to put me at ease, talking to me the whole time that they were preparing me for each zip line. I completed the tour with my husband and was so pleased that I did it! It was a brilliant experience. One that I’ll never forget. Ziptrek in Whistler was really well organised and run by friendly, confident staff. Thank you all, especially Lucy and Jake for making our experience so memorable!

Great way to celebrate your 50th wedding anniversary. - We had two excellent guides, Sasha and Lora. Great communicators in both Ecco and zip-lining talks. They had time for us two 70 year olds celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

Great for all experience levels. - We signed up for the Beat tour because we had a few folks very scared of heights. Our guides, Jake and Lucy, were incredible and made everyone feel comfortable. By the end, my youngest child, who was the most nervous, was telling us all how much she loved it. Highly recommend!!!

Fun times in the wire - Very good for someone not so sure shot heights. Guides were great. We had a smaller group due to some no-shows which made it a little quicker than normal. Steps involved

Five stars for the ziplines, -2 for the Gopro rental - We did the five line Eagle tour, which seemed to offer the best value for money from the tours that Ziptrek Ecotours offer. The ziplines are great. We'd previously been on the ones at Grouse mountain, which we enjoyed too, but these blow those out of the park. They're all quite long and fast (some of the ones at Grouse are really short), the braking system is nice and smooth, and you can invert yourself easily for some extra adrenaline (they don't let you do that at Grouse). All with great views. What's not so great (and it speaks to the strength of the rest of the tour that I'm only deducting two stars for this), is the Gopro rental. I felt this was a bait and switch, since yes, you can pay to rent a Gopro, but they expect you to carry it around on a selfie-stick, instead of letting you attach it to your harness or helmet. Like, what? The whole point of a Gopro is that you can take action videos hands-free! If I wanted to wave around something hand-held while going down a Zipline, I'd have just bought a cheap wrist strap for my phone from the internet. This was especially annoying, since I could see that they do actually have helmets with Gopro mounts. So I ended up not using it at all, since I wanted to enjoy the ziplines and the views, but still had to carry it around, strapped to my wrist for 2.5 hours. I complained about it both to the guide at the start of the tour, and (after the tour) another woman working behind the stand at the basecamp, but they both just shrugged it off. Seeing as I didn't even use it, I was disappointed that not even a partial refund on the rental was offered as a goodwill gesture. So yeah, great ziplines, really good fun, but don't bother with the optional Gopro rental, which is a waste of money.
