An outstanding food and market tour with Buren - must do in Xi'an! - This tour was absolutely exceptional. Spending the morning with Buren was one of the highlights of our time in Xi’an (and China overall). He was friendly, knowledgeable and made the experience feel authentic. Visiting the morning markets with him gave us an insight into local life that we would never have gained by walking through on our own. His knowledge and love for the local food was evident, and we enjoyed everything he recommended we try. The pace was great, and the TukTuk allowed us to see lots in the 3 hours - it was a fantastic way to experience a different side of Xi’an. We would absolutely recommend this tour as a 'must-do' to anyone visiting the city.

Sunday Brunching in Xi’an - We really enjoyed our guided tour of the market, street kitchens, a bakery and a couple of eateries off the beaten track. Our guide Byrne was very personable and knowledgable about the regional cuisine.

Must-do Breakfast tour - Had a great morning going on a breakfast tour with my guide Buren! The food was absolutely delicious and Buren made our group’s experience incredibly enjoyable with his warmth and great insights! Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Xi’An, you won’t regret it!

Our Favorite Tour in All of China! - Tour Guide: Buren. We had heard Buren's name brought up by multiple of our previous tour guides as one of the best tour guides with Lost Plate and we see why. He was very kind and attentive, answering all sorts of questions, providing recommendations, and pointing things out all around the Muslim Quarter. The food was all very delicious and hands-down some our favorite food that we tried while in China. The combination of the delicious food and Buren's excellent care made this an absolutely fantastic tour!

Great introduction to Xi’an and its food - This was a fantastic introduction to Xi’an generally, as well as its diverse food. Buren was a very personable and knowledgeable guide, and we really enjoyed our time with him, visiting long standing restaurants serving their authentic specialities. Easy to find meeting point. Highly recommend

Sensational morning food tour in Xi’an. - Morning food tour led by Buren was fantastic. An excellent communicator with local knowledge of food and history. Sampled tasty dishes with unique flavors and textures, all prepared on the spot. A walk through the bustling market was also a major highlight.
