MON. Taipei - Taroko National Park
Taroko National Park - Guests will be picked up by an English-speaking guide and driven to Taroko Gorge via the world’s fifth longest highway tunnel (12.9km) and the stunning east coast cliff highway. There will be a photo stop at Chinshui Cliff.
Arrive at Taroko National Park, the only marble gorge in the world. With its marble-walled gorges, lush flora, and mountainous landscapes, Taroko is one of Taiwan’s most breathtaking locations. It is a haven for half of Taiwan’s plant and animal species.
Proceed to: Taroko Gorge Gateway, Eternal Spring Shrine, Swallow Grotto, etc.
TUE. Taroko - Scenic Mountain Road - Sun Moon Lake
Wuling - After breakfast, travel to Sun Moon Lake via the picturesque Central Cross-Island Highway and Wuling on Mt. Hehuan, the highest point (3275m above sea level) of the highway and the best place to enjoy a panoramic view over the Central Mountain Ranges.
Sun Moon Lake - Continue to Sun Moon Lake, a designated National Scenic Area, and drive along the lake to immerse in the natural beauty all around, visiting Wen-wu Temple with its beautiful lake view.
WED. Sun Moon Lake - Tainan
Sun Moon Lake - Visit Holy Monk Shrine, Ita Thao Village, and Tse En Pagoda that are dotted along the lakeside hill.
Tainan - Travel to Tainan, a historical capital city established in the 16th century.
Anping Fort (Anping gubao) - Take a walking tour around Anping Fort and the old street area, which is one of the most historical streets. Experience the blended atmosphere of traditional Chinese and modern Taiwanese culture.
THU. Tainan - Kaohsiung
Chihkan Tower (Fort Provintia) - Chihkan Tower is one of the historic sites of Tainan, founded in 1653 by the Dutch as the control center of Taiwan.
Confucius Temple - The first Confucius Temple in Taiwan, founded in 1665. Enjoy a walk around this area.
Fo Guang Shan - Visit the largest monastery in Taiwan, Foguangshan Monastery. Explore the Main Shrine and Buddhist Museum. A light vegetarian lunch will be provided at the monastery.
Kaohsiung - The largest city in Southern Taiwan. Check into the hotel in the late afternoon. Enjoy the beautiful night view with a stroll on your own, or visit the famous Liuho Night Market to experience the local nightlife.
FRI. Kaohsiung - Lukang - Taipei
Lianchi (Lotus) Lake - Visit Dragon & Tiger Pagoda; Spring & Autumn Pavilion at Lotus Pond. Enjoy a leisurely walk around Lotus Pond Scenic Area or relax with a cup of coffee at a local café.
Lukang - Drive north to Lukang, located in central Taiwan and once one of the top three important economic and transport hubs. Visit Lungshan Temple.
Taipei - Arrive at Taoyuan International Airport or hotels in Taipei (for those with post-tour hotel accommodation).
** If clients prefer not to be dropped off at Taoyuan International Airport en route, they will be transferred to Taipei City and can make their own arrangements for airport transfer.

- Journey to Sun Moon Lake via the scenic Central Cross-Island Highway and Wulin on Mt. Hehuan, the highest point (3275m above sea level) on a highway in Taiwan, offering the best views of the Central Mountain Ranges.
- Experience the unique blend of traditional Chinese and modern Taiwanese culture in Tainan, a historical capital city established in the 16th century.
- Visit Foguanshan, one of the four largest Buddhist monasteries in Taiwan.
- Booking this tour by 4 weeks prior to the start date is recommended.
- A small amount of walking is involved; comfortable shoes are recommended.

- Due to weather condition, in case of flooding and/or landslides in the mountainous region, we might modify the itinerary accordingly.
- If highway that connects Taipei and Hualien is closed due to the bad weather, we’ll arrange clients to take train from Taipei to Hualien. An additional surcharge for train ticket is applied.
- The hotel check-in time in Taiwan is usually around 15:00 and check-out time is around 11:00. Early check-in or late check-out will lead to surcharge.
