A Journey Through the Lush Green

The day began with a gentle breeze and the promise of adventure. My wife and I were picked up from our cozy spot in Tamarindo by Fernando, our guide for the day. His SUV was a comfortable cocoon, air-conditioned and perfect for the two-and-a-half-hour journey to Bijagua de Upala. As we cruised along, Fernando’s stories about the local area painted vivid pictures in our minds. We even caught a glimpse of a volcano, its majestic form rising against the horizon. It was like a mini-tour before the real adventure began.

Arriving at the rainforest, I felt a familiar thrill, akin to spotting the perfect wave. The air was thick with the scent of earth and life, and the sounds of the jungle enveloped us.
